We stayed in Hotel De Yama for 1 night in April 2017 as we decided to have quick stopover in Hakone on our way from Kyoto to Tokyo. We are a family of 4 (including 2 children) and had booked 2 rooms. + Very scenic location, next to Lake Ashi with views of Mount Fuji + The hotel did not...

Oh dear god! When I booked this hotel I had no idea that it was not easy to get to, clearly I did not do enough research. From Kyoto, you take a bullet train to Odawara, from there an hour by bus to motohakone-ko, from where the hotel shuttle picks you up and takes you to hotel in 5-7 mins....

We just stayed here for a board meeting and really enjoyed our time in Hakone. While the gardens hadn't bloomed yet because of the time of year, it's easy to see that they are going to be absolutely beautiful in another month or so. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. And a nice view of Mt. Fuji if there...

It is a resort hotel by the lake. Not far from the Hakone port. It takes about 5 mins and hotel runs shuttle bus at fix schedule. Outside the operation hour, you can call to ask for pick up. Same as most Japanese hotel, the staff is helpful. Most of them is able to communicate with simple English. I have...

The hotel and town is very quiet, at 5.30pm almost every shop and and restaurant start to closing their shop. The view is great near moto hakone village (feri terminal) you can...

1 hour bus ride from Odawara station. Hotel bus pick up opposite 7-11 – 5 mins to hotel. Hotel definitely caters for the elderly Japanese market but we were made welcome, staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting on the Ashi Lake and we were lucky to see Mt Fuji in all its glory on the morning we left. The...

This is a lovely, but expensive, hotel that looks out over Lake Ashinoko. The hotel has two public baths (one for women and one for men) fed by hot springs. There are two restaurants, one Japanese and the other French. The Japanese restaurant is excellent with a fixed price menu around US$ 65 per person before service and taxes. The...

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable and have great views facing the garden and Lake Ashi. Our rate included breakfast (Western or Japanese), but I was disappointed to find that they were only able to prepare a vegetarian Western breakfast. For the price and rating I expect their chefs to be able to prepare a Japanese vegetarian option...
