For the first time, I experienced the positive aspects of booking a hotel close to a JR station. The hotel is so close to the train station that we only needed to walk three steps from the hotel entrance to the gate. Even if the gate is closed at night, the walk is short if you know the way. The hotel room is small but features updated and modern facilities. We loved the bathtub, which is specially designed to sit comfortably with your feet soaked in powdered water. However, the buffet breakfast was not as good as other reviews suggested. There were not enough varieties, the eggs were too softly cooked, and replacements stopped after the first round. Additionally, the design of the check-in counter was not very welcoming. The hotel would be perfect if they improved their buffet breakfast and considered providing triple-bed rooms.

The hotel is literally at one of the JR Sakuragicho station exits so it's very accessible. There is a shopping center and lots of resturants nearby. There is also a Starbucks and a small grocery store inside the building. The Yokohama Air Cabin is only 5 mins of walk - a scenic ride that will take you to Minatomirai 21 (the waterfront area).

The room is of decent size, great for a solo traveler but doable for couples. I love the bathroom facilities where there is a separate area for bathtub and shower area which resembles an onsen experience. Hotel staff are friendly. I'm very happy with my experience.

This hotel in Yokohama offers prime access to sightseeing spots and the PIA Arena for concerts. Its central location ensures swift transit to Tokyo and Hakone for Mt. Fuji views. Rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, with practical bathrooms. Daily fresh pajamas add a nice touch. Numerous nearby restaurants and a ground-floor supermarket provide convenience. Despite its central location, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay in Yokohama.

this hotel is very clean, spacious and value for money. Check in is automated and fast. Staff are friendly, experienced and helpful. locality of station is most ideal, it has its own gate from Sakuragichio South exit. Amenities are complete and thoughtfully provided at the lobby for self pick up to bring to the room. very nicely room setup. very very satisfied!!

This was my first stay at JR Met at Yokohama Sakuragicho. It is conveniently located next to the train station although it is not the main yokohama station, it is near to many attractions such as Chinatown and the ferry’s wheel. The hotel is pretty new. I was warmly welcome by the gentlemen at check-in (thank you guys - you are the best!). This hotel employs good technology. Eg check-in and out is by a self-help machine. Although I don’t understand Japanese, there is English option on the menu. Just follow the instructions and everything is good. There was also a man who appeared on screen to guide me through and explained the procedures. The room was very clean with daily housekeeping (note that not all business hotels in Japan offer this service. Some only clean your room every 3 days.). I love the toilet which comes with attached bath tub and shower area. So much bigger compared to the other business hotels I stayed like Toyokxxxx and Keixxx Presxxx. The room is very modern with a big TV and most importantly the size is so far the biggest for me amongst the business hotels I stayed. You can help yourself to the bathroom amenities as well as coffee at no charge (other hotels will charge you for them). For a standard room and price I paid, it’s value for money. I will look out for JR Met hotels in future when I come back to Japan!

My original booking was from 20 to 23 April. Upon arrival, since I liked the hotel very much in many aspects (hard products, location, amenities given, etc), I extended my stay by booking two further nights from 23 to 25 April.

Around noon on 23 April, I went to the front desk to inform a female front desk agent about the extension and have my room key updated. I also asked for a late check out, and she immediately granted me until 2 pm on 25 April. She didn't mention anything about additional charge.

But at around 11:15 am on the date of checkout, I received a call from a female front desk agent, saying my checkout time was already past due. I was requested to immediately vacate the room. Otherwise, an additional charge would be incurred.

I explained to her about the late check-out granted three days ago. But it all fell on deaf ears. She kept saying additional charge was required.

She didn't reply that it could be a mistake made by the first female agent, or make an apology that there could be a miscommunication (not from me, but the first female agent). Or in fact it could be a mistake on the part of the second female agent who called me.

She just kept saying what she wanted to say, without listening to me. Even without making any reference to what I had explained. She was like a robot.

I explained that I just got up from bed, and even if I was required to vacate, I needed time to pack up, etc. She then gave me a further 15 minutes (?!) and said otherwise additional charge would be incurred after 11:30 am. She remained heartless, insensitive and unreasonable despite what I explained all along. In her mind, I was only a liar, not a customer to be believed

At last, I insisted and finally got a late check-out before 12 noon without charge.

This was the first time in my life, staying hundreds of night that I encountered this kind of problem. Shall I ask for a written confirmation each time I request a late check-out?

I understand that mistakes are bound to happen, but the issue could have been handled in a much better and reasonable manner by the second agent who called me.

It was very convenient right from Sakuragicho Station.
There was also Seijo Ishii on the first floor and Starbucks on the second floor.
I was able to go to Minato Mirai on foot and to Noge's pub district and enjoyed it.
On the first floor, there was also a historical exhibition of the former Yokohama Railway, a diorama and a class 110 steam locomotive.
Also, Nippon Rent-a-Car was nearby.
It is a hotel I want to use again.

You can get in and out of Sakuragicho Station without getting wet, and it's convenient with a Seijo Ishii on the first floor.
There is self-service coffee in the front lobby on the third floor, and you can drink it in the lobby, but I took it to my room after checking in and drank it slowly. It didn't taste bad either.
The air conditioning is strong and it's easy to set the temperature to suit you, so the temperature didn't change even in the middle of the night and I was able to sleep comfortably.
The "Napolitan" at the breakfast restaurant is delicious, and I'm glad they have delicious "pudding" and other sweets available in the morning.

The entrance is a little hard to find, but there is a Seijo Ishii and a Starbucks inside the building, which is convenient. It's only just been built, so it's very new and clean. The room is functional and the bed is large. The bathroom is also large and comfortable, not a unit bath. There are amenities at the entrance, but they also have bath salts and other amenities. It's very close to the station, but the room is quiet. You won't be bothered by the noise of the trains or anything else.

If you're looking for a business hotel with good transport access in the Yokohama area, this is a hotel I would highly recommend.
