This hotel is located 5-min walk from the Nara JR station. Cross street is a temple. It is a 20 mins walk to Nara park. When we checked in, the hotel provided us with welcoming tea, candies and toys which the kids loved a lot. We asked for a Japanese style room which means two matress on the floor. Room...

Nice friendly warm staff. Courteous as always. Location is great too. Walking distance to Nara station. And also towards the ancient city. Quite convenient to everywhere. And the price is very reasonable. Well recommend to all. The rooms are surprisingly spacious too for hotels in Japan.

We stayed here for one night during a stop off in Nara. I found it was well located very close to JR station and not far from the main parkland in Nara. We stayed in the Japanese room which was a nice big space for the two of us. I found the staff very friendly and the cost of the...

I was a bit unsure about this hotel before I stayed but was quite impressed. Hotel is located less than a 10 minute walk from Nara JR station and the same again to some Nara Park Highlights. Check In wasn't the most welcoming I have ever had, maybe the guy was having an off day. Stayed in a Traditional Ryokan...

Dear aniceglassofred, Thank you for staying at Hotel Asyl Nara and we really appreciate your precious comment pointing out our improvements. First of all, we are very sorry to hear that our front clerk had made you feel uncomfortable upon your arrival. Even though the month of April is the best time to visit Nara, we have some difficulty controlling...

We had a great experience of this hotel in Nara. The room was extremely spacious (which was great after a while in quite small hotel room in big cities), very clean and fresh. It was a bit of a more 'authentic' experience, the hotel stands between the traditional Japanese Inn (Ryokan) and the Western style hotel. The beds for instance...

The hotel is very well located close to both JR and Kintetsu train stations. The room deco is a bit old but really keeps a nice enviroment. I enjoyed particularly the lobby are where you can find a nice sitting room with a fireplace. You have great music, books etc... all you need to stay there and don´t have the...

First of all, we really appreciate your genuine comment and it was our honor to welcome you back then. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the room and the fire place in our lobby as well. It’s true, the warmth of the fire with fine music even makes us relaxed. In fact, the fire is regarded as a...

Arrived on boxing day evening, a bit difficult to find from JR station (easier way from Kintetsu station). Hotel was small but very cosy, the warm & welcoming common room was just brilliant for a rest from the chilly weather. The kid-friendly family room was just too perfect! The spacious room stocked with toys and picture books and almost everything...

Dear AnikiC, It is our pleasure to have such wonderful comment on our special “Bambi Room”! The room is meant to value a touch of nature tree, hoping it will not only rejoice our guest but also bring the families much closer together. It is so nice to hear that you enjoyed our special meal too. We believe your child...

A very good hotel with location close to both JR & Kintestu stations. It’s very clean and well managed ,with polite, professional and helpful staff. They gave me a twin room, that was surprising huge (as against Japan standard room sizes) and very well kept bath/good quality bed/bath linen's. The hotels is walking distance from Nara park and has breakfast...

Very different experience for us, from entering the main lobby the first impression was of a dark space, lots of japanese traditional love of wood, the lobby carpet by the lift is worn and needs replacing The superior room was a lovely size and felt very different, the bathroom was exceptional and clean, sadly the pillows were lumpy but adequate....

A traditional, probably slightly ageing Japanese hotel. Warm welcome from the staff on arrival and we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite on the top floor, which after staying in several other hotels over two weeks in tiny rooms, was very welcome. The room, although dated in decor and furniture had an excellent bathroom and separate toilet,...
