We visited Nara for one day while travelling Japan and it was one of the best days of the holiday, the city is wonderful and this hotel was the perfect place to stay there. The hotel is set near the parks in the older area of the city, we were a bit suspicious walking towards it but when we found...

The hotel is closely located to Nara park, which is ideal for sightsseing but not so close to Naramachi, where the restaurants and a decent nightlife is situated. The hotel sits next to a main street which is somewhat noisy and which can be heard from the rooms and the surrounding of the hotel is not very attractive. After a...

I have included pictures of the evening meal we had at this hotel It was not cheap but it was still very good value The service is excellent and although a little tricky to find initially it is well located near Nara Park where most of the best sight seeing is located

Staff try to be nice but not very successfully. Very restrictive with meal times. Really far away from JR Nara St. bu quite near to the Todaiji. Room was very big in traditional japanese style, onsen were nice and they give you a 'yukata' to stay in the hotel. Abundant kaiseki meals (breakfast and dinner). They give you deer cookies...

The good: reasonable room, comfy futon, comfy yukata, close to Nara Park and the big temple. The private outdoor bath was cool. Souvenir photo was quite funny. The funny deer stuff everywhere is kind of cute. Front desk explained sightseeing really well and gave us free deer cookies. The not so good: quite far from Nara JR station. Quite a...

The positives *Great service from the staff (this would be the main reason why I rate them a 4), I decided to book this hotel (and Nara) literally only 2 days before the stay and called the hotel to book the 3 Michelin Wa Yamamura for me, they were able to get me a reservation with zero fuss. Arrived early...

The staff is simply awesome, they helped us in everything even when the communication wasn't perfect.the rooms are traditional, splendidly clean and overlooking the hills with wooden bathtub on the room balcony to enjoy a relaxing bath with wine or sake late at night..

Check in at 15:00 and check out at 10:00. Would be nice to sleep in before such an early checkout. Would've taken the breakfast package, but would have to wake up even earlier. Although rooms had a feeling of authenticity, it felt more like a chain hotel. Staff with headsets, took a picture with the fluffy toys, moved along for...

We stayed here for one night while on a family trip to Nara (wish I could have stayed a week!). The welcome from the staff was superb, tour of the property, rooms, and dining areas, made us feel at home. The hotel is beautiful, classically Japanese, no detail is spared from the in room tatami mat bed room, to the...
