The good: reasonable room, comfy futon, comfy yukata, close to Nara Park and the big temple. The private outdoor bath was cool. Souvenir photo was quite funny. The funny deer stuff everywhere is kind of cute. Front desk explained sightseeing really well and gave us...More
*Great service from the staff (this would be the main reason why I rate them a 4), I decided to book this hotel (and Nara) literally only 2 days before the stay and called the hotel to book the 3 Michelin Wa Yamamura...More
The staff is simply awesome, they helped us in everything even when the communication wasn't perfect.the rooms are traditional, splendidly clean and overlooking the hills with wooden bathtub on the room balcony to enjoy a relaxing bath with wine or sake late at night..

We did not take the meal plan when we stayed at this hotel. However, dinner is definitely served in their dining room. I do not know if some rooms also have an option for dining in the room. I would check directly with the hotel. Also, I would add that in room dining in some ryokans can be a very enjoyable experience. I don't think it is an option here.
