Centrally located (near train station); huge hotel with smallish rooms, beds hard by our standards. Very clean and quiet in rooms; water heater with teas (but no coffee provided); frig in room; shower poor by our standards (must hold shower head). TV with no english stations. Shopping nearby - also good restaurants in and out of hotel. Had an excellent...

I traveled in March tot he Grand Hyatt Fukuoka. The people were simply amazing. The service of the staff was excellent. Pros 1. Walking distance to many locations in Fukuoka. If not, a short taxi ride. The airport is very close (less than 15 minutes from the Domestic and closer from the International terminal). 2. Food and Beverage - Fukuoka...

Stayed here during cherry blossom season (end March 2013). Good location - 10 minutes' walk to both main train stations : Hakata and Tienjin. Attached to Canal City shopping mall. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Stayed with 2 young children. Was impressed and pleasantly surprised when 5 minutes after checking into room, hotel staff appeared with children size...

I'm sure there must be standards for a hotel to be named as a "Grand Hyatt". Take the Grand Hyatt Tokyo , the Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok and the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for example, All these hotels are huge, both in terms of hotel/room size. But the room in Grand Hyatt Fukuoka is so small that there is...

Located at Canal City, a big shopping complex, the Grand Hyatt is convenient. One can easily walk to Tenjin and there are lots of food options around the area. The room itself was a bit on the small side- a double bed, a built in desk, a built-in cupboard, a closet and two built-in night stand if you have a...

This was our third hotel from our Japan trip. It was the most expensive and the least impressive. It was the only hotel that did NOT offer free WiFi in the rooms and you had to buy something in the bar in order to sit there and use the lobby's WiFi. I know this doesn't sound that important but it...

Hotel is located at Canal City adjacent to the large shopping area. Very modern hotel, nice rooms, super comfy beds and a great bathroom with large soaking tub in the wet area. Always a restful and comfortable stay. Still does not have wireless internet in the guest rooms. Wish they would remedy this issue. Lovely lobby and many dining choices...

Visited to attend a wedding ceremony and the party, I could have calm and relax time during the stay. Though the locatio is in a part of Canal City, a large shopping mall, the hotel provides very comfortable space wherever in it. Especially the bathroom is super that has not only bathtub but shower booth the hot water come immediately....

Some friends of mine suggested this place as a stop over before taking the early flight out of Fukuoka the next morning. We had just spent 19 night in a just as nice hotel in Sasebo. I was disappointed in this place. I have traveled all around the world and this hotel just didn't live up to the hype. I...

Fukuoka - and the hotel - are literally only about 5km from the airport and the easiest way to get there is by cab which costs about ¥2,000-2,200. The Grand Hyatt is definitely located in a great spot. It's central and it's also next to Canal City which is a massive shopping mall and entertainment complex. So, there's no shortage...
