right at the heart of the shopping belt, location cannot be any better. the japanese family room is huge, and decenty priced. breakfast is excellent, with inclusion of local kumamoto delicacies. Wifi is strong. Huge wooden Japanese bathtub, which is quite rare sight.

I stayed at this Nikko this month (July). Staff gave me an instruction for emergency lift use. Although he gave me an explanation for the damage in the corner of my room, I wouldn't have realised it without his words. Dining nearby, Kamidori or Shimodori, is fine. Tram line runs as usual. Its stop is just in front of this hotel.
