Easy to find. Walk out their railway station door, look 45 degrees to your right and that's the hotel. Again staff were friendly and assisted us with several enquiries even though they had issues with English and our Japanese was also very problamatic. Rooms were clean and tidy. Bathrooms are small but they on site Onsens make up for this.... More

Excellent location and well appointed hotel. The rooms are smallish, but functional. Breakfast (included) is diverse - includes both western and Japanese food types and the free express coffee on the lobby is excellent!

This hotel is right across from the train station stop its location is perfect. The front area is clean and the staff at check in were very friendly. Rooms are typical Japanese size but these rooms were new and very clean. I would come back and stay here again.

This hotel was chosen mainly for its proximity to the station, as we were making day trips elsewhere while in Morioka. We stayed here for two nights in a twin room, which had enough space to store our luggage and move around. The bathroom was the usual small size you get in business hotels, but laid out well enough that... More

True to its name (ekimae means 'in front of the station') this hotel is convenient to the station. The front desk staff was helpful, the room pleasant and the bed comfy. I appreciated the actual coffee in the room (in-cup filter kit) and the extra pillow. Most all hotels provide some sort of leisure wear--yukata, other robe or pajama-like outfit.... More

We only stayed 1 night here, transiting to Appi Kogen to ski. Hotel is very easy to book through their website & is easy to get to - less than 5 mins walk in snow - which is great for us as we had to wheel our luggages to/fro hotel & train station. Hotel room is typical Japanese size -... More

Hotel room is a bit bigger than the other Japanese hotels that I have stayed in. Room is also very very clean. Be warned though that this hotel has the traditional public bath. This means there are no bath rooms inside the rooms (just toilets). If you want to take a bath, you need to go to the public bath... More

Walk out of the train station and look for tall tan tower building that is the Hotel Route Inn. Breakfast is included; no wifi in rooms but wired internet is available. Rooms are basic but clean and quiet. Restaurants are within a 2 minute walk. Morioka is not a tourist destination so enjoy being one of just a few westerners... More

This is basically a business hotel in a non-touristy destination, however, we were pleasantly surprised at the location, comfort and room view, but not at all surprised at the quality of the now expected level of Japanese staff service. However, the real surprise was how much we actually enjoyed Morioka itself.

For the money, the comfort and convenience of this hotel can't be beat. It's a business hotel, but it's relatively new, the rooms are a bit bigger than average, and the amenities are plentiful. I especially liked the big bath on the 14 floor. The breakfast was also quite good with lots of variety. I would definitely stay here again... More
