Visited Ashnil Samburu over the just ended Easter holidays for the first time. The views are great especially from the tents(tents overlook the river) for me that was a huge plus! The elephants and giraffes are always passing by as they go for a drink at the river. Simply awesome.. The tents are spacious and lovely. Although i did not...

I stayed at the Ashnil Samburu over Jamuhuri holiday weekend in 2016. While I was on a budget trip, the reception and stay felt anything but. We were received warmly by the hotel staff with refreshing juice after a 5 hour travel from Nairobi. The rooms are actually standalone tents with a river front view. The room's balcony provides a...

A highlight was relaxing by the pool / restaurant / tent deck just watching the slowly evolving parade of animals coming down to the river for a drink. This was one of the more expensive places we stayed at during our trip and it was certainly well worth it. Although we arrived at 2.30pm, they had kept lunch for us!...

Ashnil gave us 5-star service for our stay for a weekend. The rooms are clean and well furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay in the bush (mosquito repellent). Beware though that the camp runs on generator and as such there is no electricity 24-7. The pool is the easiest I have ever swam in and the dining and...

We had been to Ashnil Mara last year and hence we selected Ashnil Samburu this time but this place is nothing compared to Ashnil Mara. The food was okay kind and the variety was less. The dinner closes at 9 pm and that was a negative point. Our room was quite far, 12-A . The campus has a pool and...

The lodge is situated very centrally in the Reserve. The food is of good quality, the staff is extremely friendly. The tents are very comfortable. A good place to be for a safari, where you can see a large diversity of animals

The Tents are absolutely amazing. They are clean and cosy. The Beds are comfortable as well and you have a beautiful view of the Ewaso Nyiro River and get to see the resident elephants upclose from you room. The staff are quite nice and polite. Food is good but they Don't serve water with the meals.. you have to buy....

Do not be fooled by the pictures Absolutely horrible place. First, the staff here are rude. They stand around gossiping, and make you feel like an inconvenience. Second, food is okay at best. Limited selection of food. Third, they turn the electricity off regularly during the day!!! For what it costs to stay here, I would expect electricity!! The wifi...

We were astounded by the beauty surrounding Mount Kenya, as we had a self-drive from Nairobi to Ashnil Samburu Camp. The roads are in great condition, you pass all the flower farms...and the last 20km are on gravel road inside the Samburu reserve/Buffalo Springs. We had two game drives, and were blessed by seeing 2 liions, 4 cheetahs (a mother...

Had a wonderful time at Ashnil and Samburu just before christmas . Ashnil is nice place to stay and staff are courteous and we were well looked after, except that it seemed a bit short on staff in the bar service area. You have to go to the counter to get your drinks . The Game Reserve is unique with...

Ashnil Samburu Camp sits in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve which takes its name from an oasis of crystal clear water at the Western end of the reserve. It is separated from samburu National Reserve by Ewaso Nyiro River and is less hilly and dense yet equallly very attractive.
