My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Anjajavy L'Hotel over New Year's Eve 2014-2015, following our 4 nights at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge in Rwanda, and transit nights at the InterContinental Jo'burg OR Tambo Airport Hotel and at the Carlton Antananarivo. Getting here is a chore for most, but the remote location and quality accommodations and food make it very...

We had the most wonderful time. They couldn't do enough for us. On my second day there, eating mainly toast and marmalade, the maitre d' asked me if I wasn't feeling well - so I saw the resident doctor, who, without delay, immediately cured the problem I had picked up elsewhere. Everyone was so kind and welcoming - perfection without pretentiousness....

You can't beat seeing lemurs hopping round the grounds, oblivious to the tourists. Whilst Anjajavy is pricey it's well worth it for a special occasion. Try and stay a week like we did to truly relax and make the most of all the included excursions and watersports there are. The food is fantastic and every member of staff went out...

this small and intimate property occupying a beautiful peninsula, run by cedric is nothing short of amazing! The resort seems to be so unobtrusive, that it is as frequently visited by insects, birds, lemurs as human guests, and the living together results in harmony personified. Now add in beautiful well trained staff in every category from food, to drinks, to housekeeping, to...

Madagascar has so much beauty, but travelling around exposes every visitor to the extremes of poverty and the damage done by humans. Arriving at Anjajavy and being greeted by Cedric with his passionate views on bio-diversity and the support for local villagers, including employing as many as possible in the hotel was the start of our wonderful visit. The accommodation...
