I suppose it depends what you are staying at this hotel for. Rooms are spacious and look like renovated rooms, unfortunately, some of the furnishings are already showing signs of wear (e.g. the armchair was already wobbly). Beds are firm, pillows relatively firm. Rooms facing north have unblocked view, south-facing rooms are likely to be blocked by the high rise tower under construction. The bathroom is the most dysfunction part of the room - the shower is mounted over the bathtub with splashes protected by the shower curtain, annoyingly, the water from your shower gets trapped by the edge of the bathtub and will slowly drip around on to the bathroom floor, leaving you with a very damp floor towel (or wet floor). And the more you shower, the more water drips.... Room has mini fridge, safe and power sockets, iron and ironing board - so pretty well equipped. Two reading lamps by bedside, but only controlled from the left-most table side, which is a little inconvenient. One standing lamp in the corner only, and that means the room is always a little dark overall. Towels a little threadbare but adequate. Service was always reasonable, if not effusive. Infinity pool on 25th floor has stunning views, as does the (rather small) gym on the same floor. Was told the bar on 26th also quite nice, but limited selection of alcoholic drinks. Location was good - right next to KSL mall, and so if that is where you are heading, look no further. Also quite central for most other amenities in town, if you travel by Grab. An adequate stay but it depends on the price you paid - if you look around and see the likes of Amari or St Giles at this price.. you might be better off staying there instead.…

I would like to compliment reception staff Mr Iqbal. I have my elderly mum with me and although the hotel was crowded, Mr Iqbal took time to arrange a connecting room for me. This made it much easier to look after my mum. Thank you Mr Iqbal.

Great location! It's a stone throw away from the main shopping area (KSL). The room is spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable! Toilet was clean too. The hotel breakfast selection was decent and tasted good, but it can get crowded. The view from the bar was nice but the food was average.

The shower room exhibited signs of mold creating an uncomfortable shower experience. Our request for king bed was not accommodated due to the hotel’s full occupancy. Despite our request made at the time of booking. On the positive side, the hotel staff was friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast is something we will want to come back for. Nasi Lemak, Sambal Sotong are must try! However we would consider returning only if the hotel undergoes renovations and ensure adherence to basic hygiene standards.

Good location and next to KSL Shopping Mall. The room is clean and spacious and the bed is comfortable. The gym and swimming are located at the 25 floor which give a panoramic view of the city. We were told that the access door will be opened at 7 am. However, it was a pity as the door was not opened till 7.30 am and we didn’t have a chance to get a good view of the sunrise. We only managed to view it through the glass panel. The hotel wifi connection is very good and covered a wide area and different floors and there is no need to use pass word to access. Very good on this aspect. The breakfast spread at the 9th floor restaurant is limited but quite decent and the coffee was good. We will definitely return for our next short holiday. I am still giving this hotel a 5 stars rating although I am a bit disappointed that the staff did not open the access door to the gym and pool on time. I hope the management can look into this shortcoming so that guests can have a good view of the sunrise.…

I stayed at Holiday Villa JB on 13 & 14 March. When I checked in, personnel asked me for my credit card.He informed me that there will be no charge as I would pay in cash upon checkout. I paid in cash upon checkout but they still charged me for my 2 rooms and deposit as well. When I tried to contact them, they ignored my email. Dirty.

Holiday Villa JBCC was our favourite hotel in JB pre Covid. We used to come here often because this hotel had Thai Oddyssey on level six therefore it was quite easy to get a good massage staying at the same hotel. As with lots of hotels around the world I think this hotel was quite affected by COVID-19. My room is on level 18 and I'm staying in the suite. There was a big no smoking sign immediately once you exit the elevator, however the smell of cigarette was lingering all over the corridor, in our room and definitely the toilets. I'm not sure whether the staff or the guests were the ones responsible for this smoke but it was definitely cigarette smoke wafting through the air as I'm writing this review. I'm paying for this suite because I'm staying with my 2 kids. Hate me all you want, but I freaking hate smokers. Selfish group of people. It causes nothing but harm. If you think its ok, go ahead and let your kid take a puff. And also one star off, is because of the unfriendly front desk staff. Damn cold. Guests paid for the room. And still they raise their voice at us. Well ok then. Just a thing against their southern neighbours I guess. Smoke filled hotel. Angsty front desk staff. Nope not coming back. Construction next to the the hotel is still creating noise even at 2am on 30 December 2022. Surprisingly, there was no construction activities at 8am. As the hotel booking was done online with specific request. The rooms were not arranged next to each other as requested. Toilet ventilation fan also working. Generally, cleanliness is acceptable.

This is relatively a new hotel. The checkin staff were top notch. We were served by sarfy. He was excellent with our rather very messy bookings. We had 4 different bookings. Thanks sarfy. The room size was great too and clean. Our only complaint is the pillows. Too soft or too hard. The bf was OK. Quite a crowd but the staff managed to sit guests relatively fast and systematic. Parking is at jbcc level 7, open carpark. There were guards so it's safe. Validate the touch and go for complimentary parking.
