Firstly, I am quite shock the star rating of this hotel in Google is categorized as a 1 star hotel. This is easily at least a 3 stars hotel.
The first impression is good as the security guard immediately attended to us when he saw my car turning in to the Car Lift. Yes, you did not see wrongly, the parking for this hotel requires you to drive your car into their car lift as the parking is in the middle section of the hotel.
My stationwagon fits in the car lift quite easily, the guard told us that Vellfire, Estima, all fits in too just that it is abit difficult to get in the lift.
Check-In was a breeze, room cleanliness is good, nothing to fault. Aircon is cold, shower water pressure is strong.
WIFI signal is ok. Lobby area is very nicely decorated too.
The location of this hotel is at Jalan Wong Ah Fook, which you should know is where the cafes, kopitiam, the famous banana cake are ~~, and it is near custom, therefore, getting to this hotel on a weekend night can be a challenge, as you have to drive past the cars aiming to go back Singapore. The road in front of this hotel is very busy.
There are no gym or swimming pool as it is a budget hotel.
This hotel is good for a 2 nights stay or max 3 nights stay. However I wish the price could be cheaper as I paid SGD$100 a night.

Convenient location but not so ideal due to noisy location and a short unsheltered walk to nearest food. I requested for high floor quiet room after seeing reviews citing potential noise issue from night market. The room I was given was however facing the main roads/flyover so the noise suddenly got amplified late night early morning hours with vehicles (bikes etc) zooming past at high speed when traffic became lighter. I tried sleeping with earphones and music, covering my head with the pillow which did not work. Being a light sleeper and used to being unable to sleep well on first night away, it was still fairly frustrating. Will recommend hotel not to assign rooms facing the main road to guest asking for quiet room. Cos high floor or not it is going to be so loud. Facilities were satisfactory and the TV even can connect to YouTube and your own Netflix. Wifi works. If you are staying more than a night bring your own toiletries - I could not see much foam from the shampoo/shower gel. Overall, still a value for money spot and easy to grab to other spots if you do not want to walk to your next destination. The staff speaks great English and are generally cheerful and helpful..

Stayed 4d/3n on recent CNY holidays, location is very strategic, just about 5-10mins walk to City Square/CIQ. We stayed here and enter Singapore by public bus in the morning and come back at night. This is a good option if you don’t want to spend so much on accomodation in Singapore. Opposite the hotel is the Bazar Karat and famous Hiap Joo bakery. Can go near Hiap Joo bakery area (5mins walk) for breakfast, plenty of cafe and chinese restaurant there. This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star in-room ammenities. Super spacious and clean room (Deluxe King room) with big smart TV to watch Youtube and Netflix, safebox, mini fridge, coffee table, hair dryer, disposable slippers, Morphy Richards kettle, complete toiletries set and a big king size bed. Elevated parking provided, you need to drive your car into the car lift and scan your room card to access level 4,5 and 6 to the parking floors. Overall its great for the price (RM170 per night) and would definately come again.

I was recommended by friend to this budget hotel due to the accessibility of it’s location but it turned out to be a nightmare for me : 1. Poor sound proof between the rooms. If you happen to get a connecting room sharing with another unfriendly guests, you will not be able to sleep at night. My kids shared a connected room with another couple who came back at 12am drunk and talking loudly for next 2 hours. They had a sleepless terrifying night. 2. Poor housekeeping that can skip your room unknowingly. I told the reception on 2nd day that they missed housekeeping in my room at 5:30pm and they kindly took note and gave me assurance. But still no housekeeping at 10:30pm when we came back and the reason was housekeeper went back at 6pm. The receiptionists cum after 6pm housekeeper came back to provide fresh towels and supplies 30 mins later at 11pm. 3. During the check out, I gave the room keys to the reception and counted the number of keys given. But after I got back my deposit 15 mins later, the receptionist told me I missed 1 room key and charged me MY35. Facing the pressure of driver waiting for our family, I have no choice but to pay for this. Honestly I had travelled to many places and do not have a single history of missed placing my keys before till my horrible encounter at Z Hotel. The receptionist IRA was rude and service was terrible. Overall I would never want to go to any of Hotels related to Z Hotel due to the terrible service experience I had encountered. Perhaps I ran out of my luck, but usually the receptions will be the one giving warmth to you in foreign countries but not in my case on last day.

Concierge / Front Desk: Professional and polite, efficient in responding to any requests, Check-in/out was swift
Room: Minimalist style, with a sweet large flat screen TV on a movable TV stand, able to connect to Netflix, Disney Plus, YouTube, etc. Comfortable beds and pillows, thick comfortable blanket. The only thing is that you have to check the aircon settings when you get there. Awesome rain-shower with full toiletries!
The only issue is that you will to maneuver your vehicle through a rather tight alley in order to get to the lift that will bring your car up to the carpark (located at the back of the building). Turning from the alley to the lift is rather sharp, so fellow drivers, please be careful not to scrap your car against the pillars!
Overall, I would definitely come back to Z Hotel again! Fantastic experience :)

We had an enjoyable stay at your hotel. Hotel staff were helpful. Room condition was good. However, Room 1607 glass shower door and toilet door design can be improved because this design is inconvenient for the user. Room 1210 was much better. Both aircon blower unit needs to be cleaned.

This is my third stay at the Z Hotel, and unfortunately, it has been the most disappointing one thus far. I booked a triple room, and initially, everything seemed to be in order. However, I encountered a significant issue when the air conditioner in the room began leaking badly. I promptly contacted the front desk, and a technician was dispatched to inspect the problem. Despite his efforts, the air conditioner started leaking again just three hours later.
Given the inability to resolve the issue, I decided to request a change of room. Upon moving to the new room, I discovered that the refrigerator was not functioning properly, and there was a cup containing rotten fruits inside. To my dismay, the toilet, although clean, emitted an unpleasant odor. Consequently, I had to request another room change.
I must express my profound disappointment with the situation. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel offered me a complimentary late checkout at 2 p.m. However, it is worth noting that most hotels routinely provide a late checkout until 2 p.m. if they are not fully booked.

Great location for staying in JB if you are just relying on legs in JB. It is very close to Chinatown area, major landmarks and visiting the night street market. By the streets and promenade by the canal - there can be some homeless (?) folks around, but they were ok and had no issues with them.
Hotel was pretty clean, and my stay was most pleasant. Night time sleep was good. Staff were very hospitable too.
Small things that one needs to take note which prob is particular to my room. I think this could be just this particular room and not the hotel in general, but still worth a mention -
1. The room entrance had a scent of animal (like a wet dog). Maybe that's why there was a strong scent of cleaning detergents etc when we entered the room. Inside the room, it was ok.
2. My room had no hot water so had to do without unfortunately. I 'm sure the reception could have dealt with the issue but it was late so I didn't want to bother.

Nice boutique hotel. You need access card in order to enter the lobby which make me feel safe and secure staying there. Room was spacious, bathroom with Rain showerhead (which I like the most). The room came with aircon and also a ceiling fan which is rare to find.
Hotel is walking distance from CIQ, City Square, Komtar. Easy to find food all around the area. Opposite is Bazaar Karat which is awesome.
Overall it is worth and value for money.

Location was very good, can check in at 2pm which is great, room is spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, toilet is good size.
Hot water takes a while and the shower gels and shampoo are very small bottles. Can hear the traffic but not big issue.
