First started staying here for business in 2015, it's 2018 now and I still choose Oak Valley Hotel everytime I'm in town be it for work or leisure. For about RM100, you get a spacious room with a big bed. What I like best is the location - central enough to all the good food in Skudai and only 15 mins away from Johor Bahru city center. You'll need a car to get around though. Admittedly, the hotel is ageing since I first stayed in 2015. The last couple of times I was here, the sheets seemed stained yellowish and I even had to get them to change the sheets once. I'm normally super particular about cleanliness, but it's the overall value of the hotel that you can't beat here.

From the outside this hotel looks ok, then comes the lobby, the staffs are friendly and helpful, they also have a security guard outside monitoring your car. Taking the lift up to our room, from the corridor you can see all safety boot outside, meaning most of the rooms are occupied by construction workers. Rooms inside is smelly, we requested for non smoking room, but the room is full of smoke smell. Bed sheets and pillow case were full of stains, TV channels are blur, toilet floor is dirty, walls are filled with stains, spoiled shower head holder, towels are smelly. Just wanted to have a budget stay for a night, but it was a nightmare.

location: ok rooms.....very very bad smelly.. ..... floors are very dirty.. ..... when aircon runs, moisture condensed on some parts of the roofs and at a certain interval drops of water were falling down throughout the night on two spots of bed.. this is a first of its kind experience to me ...:-) .... roadside rooms are very very noisy due to bad glass window..it does not matter to prevent sound either you keep it open or closed..

The room was a deluxe room with a window for just RM110. The room was complete with a hot water heater, air conditioning and TV. The room was mostly decorated with wooden flooring with an earthy design. The hotel was generally quiet with no disturbances. The WiFi was fast and I was able to do a lot of work on it. The reception was warm and friendly. The place was clean and smelled nice without musty smells. The hotel also happens to be nearby restaurants and other necessities.

I stayed there only for 1 night, booking through agoda.com for standard room, overall looking fine comfortable & cozy...The staff are nice & friendly. There's also got 1 nearest halal restaurant in walking distance (Lestari Restaurant) for breakfast, lunch & dinner. But I also want to suggest to go to Restoran Anggun for dinner (for those who have owned transport) 5 minute from hotel (est.). The restaurant serves Tomyam & Seafood and it delicious, you should've tried the Tom yam Chiag Mai menu. The hotel located near to JB city, for those who like to shopping, there is also have nearest branded shopping outlet (Johore Premium Outlets - JPO) and the price for the item are shocking your mind (affordable) even though it's known branded goods. Only 20km (20 minutes) from Hotel. For those who return by flight this Hotel also near to an airport (Senai International Airport - est : 20 minutes ) Overall it value for money. TQ 😊

Stayed in this boutique hotel - twin bed deluxe room for 3 nights. The room is suprisingly nice & comparable to 4 or 5 star hotel room. Clean room, clean bathroom, nice shower pressure, complimentary bottled drinking water and coffee making facility. U can request iron to your room too unlike other budget hotels. Restaurants are just within walking distance. The only downside is no dedicated parking lot for customers. Have to park at any available lot in front of the hotel or other shoplots.
