I stayed at Pondok Keladi for 1 week with a friend in a twin room. We initially only booked for 3 nights, but liked it so much we extended our stay. The location is very quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area but this was perfect for us for a lovely relaxing time. The... More

First of all, I wanted to say that having read the other reviews this is not a place for those who want the "resort" experience. This is also not a place that you should go if you are opposed to a short walk into town. This is a unique experience on Langkawi that I doubt you will find anywhere else.... More

I had the pleasure of staying with Dee and his partner for 2 weeks on the beautiful island of Langkawi. His guest house is perfectly located, out of the main street of Cenang and close to the neighbouring rice terraces. The property is completely surrounded by jungle and complimented by the local wildlife or monkeys, squirrels, native birds and lizards.... More

Really nice place to relax for a few days if you are looking for something else then a resort. The garden next to the rooms gives a nice nature feeling and there is a kitchen to make your own breakfast or cook dinner. The beach is 15 min walk and it's possible to rent a scooter to discover the island.... More

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this place. The owner's mom, "Auntie", gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. She took good care about her guests and made their stay as pleasant as possible. They even have two scooters which can be rent which is really cool to discover the island. We would definitely come again and recommend... More

A big thank you to Mark and Deed's mum for taking care of all our needs during our 4-night stay at their place. The guesthouse and its garden look like a film set, it's beautifully surrounded by rich vegetation and it's cosy common area is ideal if you want some peaceful and relaxing time. Thank you to Azma for all her amazing hard work. Great hosts very welcoming. We've had a wonderful week's holiday at Pondok Keladi. The bed was comfortable and modern bathroom. The room has a fridge and beer on arrival was a nice touch. Short walk away from either Cenang or Tengah beaches and of course duty free shops. Even if... More

This is paradise. Yes there are 5 star hotels in the area, yes you can pay lots of money and get bit better but this place is amazing. A rural safe jungle comfortable place of your own and only slightly off the beaten track. Run brilliantly by Dee and Mark you could be at home.

After reading glowing reviews here I booked at Pondok Keladi for 4 nights. We checked out after 1 night. The rooms were not clean and in need of a serious update. A frog hopped out of the shower drain while I was taking a shower. The sheets didn't match and were either dirty or old and stained. The first room... More

I stayed for 10 days with my mum and it was absolute paradise. The room was clean and minimal and exactly what we wanted. The air con was a life saver. It was far enough out of the town to be peaceful but close enough to walk home at night. Dee was a great host, picked us up from the... More
