Do no see any communication between the hotel management and the coffee house at the hotel (seems they are totally apart and not even related). No room service (even thought there is a coffee house). Overall, this hotel is within walking distance to 2 shopping mall - the Store and Ipoh Parade. KFC, Pizza Hut and other fast food and waiting area for taxi services within few hundred meters but a bit difficult for tourist to locate the food street and the night market. At night, it is a bit too dark and quiet. A... More

This hotel was very near to Ming court dim sum, you can reach there by waking distance. This help you to settle the car parking at the restaurant as you really need some much luck to get a parking there. This hotel also near to other attraction compare to other hotel. Due to its prefect location so it will be... More

Yes, the hotel is not the newest. And yes, it might not appeal to everybody. BUT, it is located quite good, the staff is very friendly and the WiFi was alright. I stayed on the 1st floor and could Skype without any issues. Downside is that the rooms are smoker rooms and this maked them smelly. Didnt know before but... More

Walked around town before deciding where to stay, and while the decor of d eastern is perhaps not as modern or visually appealing compared to the other hotels in the vicinity, the thing that stood out most and would make me consider coming back if ever I'm in ipoh is the hospitality of the staff - who went out of... Very close to shops and to old town, walking distance from most attractions but i suggest to bring earplugs because it is situated next to a pet store with noisy animals and also a busy main road. Other than that, the breakfast is good but only on weekends. The room is comfortable and clean. However the WiFi can be weak... More
