Very nice, artsy decor and looks clean on the outside. However was hit by a weird smell when opened the room. Upon removing and checking the comforter found multiple stains ??? source. Second visit was given a bigger room with a window, clean smelling. Yet again disappointed when stripped comforter cover to find stains again.
Question: Is the comforter never cleaned, washed or aired?

We book a family room, with 1 single bed, 1 double bed, and a sofa. The room was very spacious, and clean. The bathroom was spotless. We really satisfied with the room. Check-in process was also very quick. So does the check-out. Parking was limited, but the hotel employs a guard who keeps an eye on your car. In Ipoh we have to display a parking coupon, fortunately this hotel does sell them, so it is less hassle. They also put the parking coupon on your car in the morning so that we wont get a parking summon, and that was for free!

The hotel location was also very strategic. Close to a lot of nice eatery places eg: mee daud mat jasak, medan selera taman kanak-kanank and kopitiam ; and Gerbang Malam, an uptown market.

We will definitely come here again on our next visit to Ipoh!! 😍

We stayed at this hotel for a night for short visit in Ipoh. Check in was smooth, as the staff try to clean the room for us in order not to let us wait for so long. We had the reserved parking and this is just great ! Location wise is good where it is walking distance to the dimsum restaurants and chicken rice restaurant, get a map from the staff and it helps a lot. Cross to the other side of the river, you can find the popular 7 murals and nice cafe. Room is big enough and clean, love the blind where you don't really get the sunlight from outside and had a good sleep. Overall highly recommended if you are looking for a budget city hotel.

Stayed here for a night after exploring Ipoh and seeing the art & heritage buildings before going to the Cameron highlands.
Desk staff were polite and helpful. Room presented was of good size with a comfy bed and good shower in the bathroom.

The room we received had no windows so it would be worth checking upon booking as we had no idea and thought we would have a view!

Stained towels but everything was clean and hygenic. Very high standard for Malaysia.

Stays at dis hotel from the reviews i found and its all +ve. I didnt want to hve high expectations as am afraid that i would regret...but it definitely proof me wrong!! Forget bout d hustle bustle traffic and those happened in downtown bcoz when u stays here u've already decided the location. Superb staff service, clean effortless room n toilet...quite spacious n cheaper then tune hotel..very comfy and nice deco as well as very near to public facilities are those i can commented bout this hotel...For a budget hotel like this, i really didnt expect it would be termendously comfortable. The reno done last year...shows a good impact it has now. The only downside..no mirror in d room (only in toilet), 1 small lift and lack of carpark bays (its either u wait or make a few full rounds to find a parking lot - and its public). For those wif tight budget n would like 4stars service...here u go! Definitely a come back if the mgt continously maintain or improve it high quality standards!!!

Reception: Was an excellent service by Mr Lexis. He was very friendly and helpful in getting room. Takes time to answer questions without any fuss.
Rooms: Excellent cleanliness, modern design. The only drawback is that noise from the traffic can be disturbing. Perhaps hotel management can look into making the rooms soundproof.
Location: There is a pizza hut at the ground floor and KFC across the hotel. Other food outlets are a short walk or drive away
Parking: Quite limited. From 8 am to 6 pm must display parking coupon from Ipoh City Coucil. There is a parking spot across the hotel, but with charges.

This is a new hotel, hopefully the good service is continued.

Small entrance at the side of building, small lobby on 1st floor. Booked direct with hotel, 98RM for a double room. Internet rate is 128RM. Check in was quick. Needed to pay a deposit of 50RM. Given a room with window, facing the side road, which can be quite busy. But was not bothered by the noise at all, at 2nd floor.

Room was clean and new, with flat screen TV, an open wardrobe, coffee making facility (no tea though), hair dryer and drinking water. There is no fridge nor safety box. Only soaps provided without shampoo. Love the total blackout blind.

Good location. Within 15-20mins walk from the train station. Just above Pizza Hut and opposite a 24-hour KFC. But who needs fast food when you are in Ipoh? The famous dim sum, Foh San is just less than 10mins walk away (always crowded), and plenty of restaurants and hawker food nearby. Shopping mall Ipoh Parade is 15mins walk, with few cineplexes in it. Just before Ipoh Parade is the famous 'Dessert Street', where it comes alive at night with a lot of good hawker food.

I was booking Ipoh Boutique Hotel through internet for 1 night (double bed) and I was satisfied with my decision. There was not any complain at all within this hotel but I believed there are a lot of thing that can be improved.

First, the location was in the town of ipoh that near with major food attractions and 24 hours fast food restaurant are just beside the hotel so for the people that always hungry all the time this hotel might be the best choice.

The small lobby was on the second floor so you need to take lift or using staircase. Check in was fast enough and the staff was quiet friendly. I was request for a quiet room and I got a room without window but I'm quiet happy with it due to the location was right on the street so I believed that there will be noisy if I get a room with window that facing the street.

When I was entered the room, there was not any bad odor inside the room even though there was not any window. The room was was comfortable enough not too big or small either. Inside the room there was cloth rack with hangers, small desk with chair, lcd tv, and personal AC. There was water boiler, 2 mineral waters, cups, and instant coffee as well while inside the bathroom there hair dryer, 2 small bar soaps and 2 towels.

There are a lot of thing that could be improved in the room because there the room was big enough. It will really good if they can improved their room facilities such as adding small fridge or safe deposit box. For the bathroom, there was a shower with heater but the glass was not fully cover the shower so the bathroom will easily wet when you take a bath. I also found there were a thin layer of mold nearby the wash basin, it might sound simple but can be clearly seen.

Another things that might be a problem is parking space. They were provided only 2 parking space for the guess that will easily full and for the rest you need to find it by yourself to park around the hotel. Don't think that it will be such an easy job because the 24 fast food restaurant and pizza restaurant that just at the bottom of the hotel will attract many local people to eat and park their cars. When there was no parking the staff give me solution to park in the parking lot near the hotel and it was 9RM per night, I refused it and I waited for 30 min to get parking around the hotel.

The best thing of this hotel is the internet speed, it was totally fast and the signal was very strong. It can be reached up to 3 Megabits in the afternoon (weekday) so this hotel is really suitable for the people that want to lay down a whole day to browsing the internet.

So far I recommend this hotel because there was not any complain with the hotel except the parking space.

Good for muslim as Qiblat shown in room. Space for solat in room is just enough to perform prayer.
Excellent cleanliness in room and lobby.
Hi speed wi-fi , hair dryer, coffee for two pax, hanger is available.
Just down below there are pizza hut and KFC .
No iron though so bring it on your on . breakfast is not included in service. Only one pillow for one bed ( idk if you can ask for more ) They give the same price for both 2 single bed or queen bed (maybe king, i'm not sure) . Deposit required and is refundable. Ask security person to give you access to your own floor if you are not holding the key of your room while taking the elevator. Workers here is friendly. Will definitely come again . I think parking will not be a problem since if i'm not mistaken opposite the road is a parking area (not belong to this hotel i think , but it is nearby if you need it).

How bad is the hotel parking...
Answer from Faris92

If I remember correctly, there is only 2 parking space for hotel customer. But I think it is not that bad to find a parking, because there is no supermarket nearby. Note: if you not park in the hotel parking space, the hotel employee will charge you fee(RM1.40-RM1.60) per day. Majlis Perbandaran parking fee.
