Full review of my experience here. http://hazmanhalid.blogspot.com/2011/05/anjungan-beach-resort-spa-pangkor.html Sunday, 15 May 2011 "I am putting up for 2 nights here at this hotel. But before I go further, I want to ask. If you are Malay, how many times have you been at a Malay-run establishment, and have that nasty feeling that you, as a Malay, are being given third-class service,...

Dirty bed covering; they renewed the covering after asking. That was the only thing that was done during our stay. The floor and balcony wasn't cleaned during our stay and the bathroom (small, dirty and old fashioned ) wasn't cleaned once during the three nights. The beach was nice and there were some restaurants at the beach. There was nothing...

When we arrived at Lumut port a kind tourism officer received us, asking, where we stay and how much we pay for. Without asking, telling us, that the ferry is 10RM and the taxi on Pangkor 15RM. My guess is, they want to make sure, tourists are not being overcharged in order to be able to develop the underdevelopped tourism...

First off, Pangkor Laut Resort is known in M'sia and worlwide as THE hotel resort, attracting celebrities . So when we saw Anjungan rated No. 2 after Pangkor Laut, naturally this raised our expectations - of course we didn't expect such a high class hotel as the rates are significantly lower than Pangkor Laut... BUT we DID expect the minimum...

Anjungan Resort and Spa. But no spa !!! Feel like being cheated ! The location is far and remote. The only good thing is near to the beach. The front desk staff is extremely annoying and RUDE ! Never encounter this kind of hospitality before. We booked for family room. But when we arrived, they say our reservation is not...

The location is perfect, it is just 2 minutes walk from Coral beach, that has a beautiful sea, beach and two very good restaurants on the sand. The room was "nice" but not so clean as expected. The bathroom has a big window without glass or mosquito net, so when you go to the bathroom in the evening and you...

We stayed here for four nights a week or so ago, in room 113. It's a nice looking hotel in a super-pretty area and we were in off-season so there was hardly anyone else around, which was nice. The hotel has a nice, clean pool (although quite shallow and not large) and fun to see the monkeys and hornbills all...

Anjungan looks really nice from the outside with the buildings around the pool area but the finishing on the rooms on the inside is of reasonable to poor quality (scratches on wall, poor paint job, rickety shower screen, cleanliness variable). Nevertheless, the deluxe double room was comfortable and large and the a/c worked well. Our room connected to another room...

I think the previous poor reviews were written by people who thought they were going to a Caribbean style resort and not a 170RM hotel. We’ve done a lot of travelling and thought this resort was just fine. We booked in advance via email. We took a taxi to the resort for 15RM and check in was smooth. The room...
