Nice hotel with good location, easy access to public transport hub, eateries & local attractions. There are few eateries attached to the Hotel hence finding food is not an issue if you don't feel like going out.
Staff are extremely nice & friendly, special thanks to Harif (or Hanif - sorry if i got the spelling wrong) whom brought me around to view the other room categories. Also other staff - Kossa & Yiyie.
Premium Deluxe Room has almost everything you need, loved the open concept that makes the room looks bigger. Not to miss the Nespresso coffee that makes my day!
One star is out due to the cleanliness as some pillow sheet & one towel with stains, perhaps housekeeping could check again before placing it. Toilet is separated from the shower, a tiny room with poor ventilation. So the smell is kinda strong when you first open the door, maybe let the door open after cleaning it?
Tried their hot roast buffet lunch, not many choices but it was really nice & worth the money. Will definitely go again for lunch.
Overall it is a good Hotel & worth to give a try!

I have spent 2 nights at the Prestige and my experience has been just great.
The hotel is located in the heritage zone of Georgtown, you can walk easily everywhere and find nice places to eat or drink.
The hotel itself is very nice, new and clean, the concept is modern but classic at the same time, staff is great, always attentive and ready to help.
Room got everything you need with a nice and free TV entertainment system.
My bed/mattress was super confortable, I almost fell asleep while reading some mails before dinner, exactly the feeling I wanted to have. I checked the brand, Slumberland, it will be my next purchasing.
Anyway, I will sleep here and enjoy this hotel again in my next trip - management is doing a great job!

A wonderful and perfect hotel to stay in Penang. I had a great time at The prestige hotel in Georgetown. The staffs, hotel, pool (with beautiful view or sunrise) and restaurant was great, Clean..!! all new gym, the food at the Glass house was very nice. Above all the staffs are all so helpful and friendly.. from the minute I parked my car and walk in to the lobby I was greeted and welcomed, The staff at the lobby front desk and customer service was all great! All made my stay very comfortable.

Had dinner at the restaurant and the staffs there too was so friendly.

Car park is big and clean.

Food court near by with nice food too, its almost central of town.

The room is brightly lighted up with a very unique design glass shower room. Love it.

Even I had a short stay but the staff made it all very welcoming.. I will definitely return.

Thank you all.. sorry for not naming any wonderful staff, Because all staffs did very well.. see you all soon..

We arrived at prestige hotel for a 5 night stay. First initial thoughts fantastic location right in the heart of George Town.. walking distance to little India (which we loved). The hotel looked lovely with a nice ambiance, spotless and the staff were very friendly and welcoming!!

We were staying in room 251, which was located straight opposite the maids store cupboard (they made an incredible amount of noise throughout the day). Unpacking, I came across a stain on the carpet and nail clipping on the bathroom side. Having checked it wasn’t my partners I was surprised and grossed out. I know a lot of people wouldn’t have but we managed to shake it off!!

A few days had passed by now and soon after the maid had been in to tidy our room we noticed our ‘supposedly clean’ bed sheets had a few red stains on. When anyone stays in a hotel we all automatically think everything has had a thorough clean but at this point I felt very dirty and unclean so I decided to do a proper check of the ins and outs of the room.

I was utterly sickened when I pulled over the curtain by the entrance of the bathroom which we hadn’t yet used on our stay.... to find vomit all over it!!! Im sorry but I did take pictures which I have attached. We were both exceedingly disgusted and rushed straight down to reception to complain.

The manager apologised and immediately moved us to a different room having double checked that this new room is ‘clean’. Although I couldn’t find a fault with this new room I still struggled to enjoy the rest of my stay. We couldn’t believe how a few bog standard simple cleaning jobs like these are not being spotted by the cleaners, so what else are they missing.

I feel this is a shame as we absolutely loved George Town and would love to return but unfortunately for the prestige hotel we will not be a returning customer. This hotel was very good priced, being a bit cheaper than what we would usually pay for a hotel so I will defiantly take this experience on board to pay a little bit more money to avoid unexplainable situations like this happening again. After all you get what you pay for. Wouldn’t recommend.

Check-in and check-out are smooth without queue. Staffs are friendly and approachable, in general. Room is quite comfy and nicely decor.

However, this hotel is definitely not suitable for family with young kids. In addition, there is no clear policy.

My nephew (2 yrs old) accidentally stained the carpet with his poop. In this regards, i informed the receptionist and requested for a change of room and to clean up the room. At the end of day, i went to check with the receptionist and was informed that a fee of RM500 (scam?) has incurred due to this incident. After 20mins of negotiation, the hotel is willing to accept RM100 for the cleaning of carpet.

Housekeeping fees for staining the carpet will result in RM500 and there is no exact breakdown of this unreasonable quoted fees from the hotel. Moreover, housekeeping should have already included in the room rate paid.

When confronting with the receptionist and was shocked to be informed that ALL hotels in penang have such policy?! and staining the carpet with coffee and tea will not incur any additional fees (but with poop? Will result in RM500??). Such an unreasonable demand from the hotel. What a scam!

Will definitely choose other better hotels nearby as there is nothing special in this hotel, comparing to other hotels around the same area.

FYI, the room is covered with light grey carpet except the toilet area. Hence, please be careful as it may caused u paying additional RM500 for staining the carpet cause its new and required A LOT OF EFFORTS to clean the carpet.

In addition, there are stains in the pillow and bed sheets, should i request RM500 from the hotel??

This hotel is a scam! Please avoid at all costs!

Checkin was done quickly, our family checked in late and the hotel was already expecting us.

Duty manager Giri came to speak to us personally to welcome us when we arrived at the property, he also informed us that the room have been turned down and ready for us to have a good rest.

The room and hotel is beautiful. The bed is comfortable, I found the air conditioning to be wonderful, my wife however feels it’s too cold due to being centrally controlled, but the bedding keeps you nice and warm. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping the rooms clean, housekeeping was also very thoughtful, noticing what drinks from the minibar we consumed and provided more of them than the others when topping up the minibar. Bath amenities smell great too.

We did not have breakfast at the property.

Saltwater pool was on the small side but provides a great view of the sea and mainland. Visited on a cloudy day during the monsoon season and the water was not cold, although it does not seem to be heated either.

Hotel location is within walkable distance to many food places and tourist attractions, if not taxi or grab is easily accessible too.

Will definitely return to this hotel when visiting Penang again.

I booked a room under the 25H stay package. Their hotel website indicates clearly through simple navigation the available rooms for this package. The person in line also advised me to choose the Deluxe Trio room, since we were 3 people. Well, I was happy, until today, when I decided to call them and get a confirmation.

Room was confirmed but we were not allowed to enjoy the package anymore. I tried to explain to them that their website is indicating the contrary and they have made a mistake but they kept their version and finally, told me this advertising is made by a third party and they are not responsible for it.

I found their explanation confused, and, despite my demand, we could not find an arrangement. I am disappointed by their level of professionalism, I never expect such things for a hotel this level.

My understanding is, the hotel was offering a package during the hard MCO time, but, since now the booking is almost full, they are not interested offering it anymore... but they continue to advertise on it... officially until the end of the month.

it's dishonest to do so and to put the fault on a third-party marketing agency. The Prestige Hotel Penang is unfortunately unresponsible with their clients and would like to take the opportunity to warn everybody. Please be very cautious when you make a booking with this hotel and do not believe easily what they say.

Regards,

We stayed in Penang for 6 nights at the Prestige Hotel. The arrival to the air conditioned reception was welcomed and check in was effortless.
Our room was located on the 4th floor with a room out-looking the street with an exceptional view. The room was clean and tidy with a large bathroom. Separate toilet with great ventilation :) The pool and gym were on the same floor were very welcomed on nights when we needed a quite dip.
Located within the Heritage district, this location was spot on for accessing many of the amazing sites and food stalls within Penang. However for convenience we enjoyed the substantial restaurant for breakfast with the option of dinner if needed. With an on sight convenience store, everything was catered for. Can't say enough positive things about our stay at the Prestige as well as the hospitable locals.

Absolutely wonderful hotel ??? We Enjoyed our stay in the Prestige Hotel, Penang. We are immediately struck by the beautiful, marbled reception area. Light and airy, and very classy - very welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The room is very comfortable with great room amenities. The breakfast was very complete and accompanied by great background music. "Love it." The location of the hotel is great, right in the middle of most attractions, which are within walking!
