Everything looked great. But when I first opened the room it was hot and unventilated. But thats ok. Then when i turned on the jacuzzi some dirty matters gushed out from the side holes which I never used at all and rather go for the normal shower. By and large it was a great stay.

We stayed in a 4 persons villa. The layout and deco is very unique and the facilities are awesome. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is not that friendly though room service is quite fast. The hotel is near to popular food places and shopping areas. We will stay here again.

My friends made this booking and it was a gem of a hotel; the rooms were beautiful and it felt almost like a home than a hotel. The heritage style was so much nicer than the normal hotel feel you get in a place. The staff were extremely polite even if some staff were a little unprepared or gave an...

I stayed here for three nights. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and my room had a four poster bed. The bathroom was lovely, spacious and clean. The location is good, close to Chowrasta Market and Jalan Penang (lots of bus stops); Georgetown is a very walkable city. The staff were able to arrange a taxi to the...

Staff were helpful and speak mainly good english. They showed good hospitality right from the start. Advising was no issue to staff. We had a Hutton room. Room was big enough and there was comfortable bed. Ceiling fan was funny (in a good way). Complimentary tea was aromatic and tasty. The bes thing was jacuzzi, the main reason why we...

We do not normally stay in boutique type hotels but due to our preference hotel not being in Penang we went by previous reviews for this hotel, it wasn't the cheapest nor the dearest, but we paid a fair price and had expectations on service levels. The good points; Location was great, so close to everything in Georgetown, a short...

Dear Bernadette T Thank you for your comments and we appreciate them very much. I apologise that the hard mattress didn't suit you very well, and will make sure in future we will buy some softer mattress. The unanswered email is certainly not an excuse and I apologise for the oversight. We have noted on the F&B service and will...

I travelled up the peninsula from Singapore-Chang Mai (and back) and this was the best hotel I stayed in (3-5 stars range). I ended up going there twice (9 days in total) as I enjoyed my first stay so much. When you walk into your room the first thing that grabs you is the interior design; good-sized rooms, tasteful Chinese...

Had a weekend break to Penang and had used Tripadvisor to pick the hotel. The comments re the noise of the rooms ( ours backed onto a road) were right it was quite noisy. The other let down was that the Spa was closed whilst the hotel changed the management contract vis-a-vis service provider. This was a let down. Breakfast...

We didn't stay at the hotel but enjoyed the restaurant multiple times-- the food and service was really great! We were first drawn to their fast internet speeds (which is hard to find in Penang), and stayed for the food.
