Located in a good location, a stone's throw away from a busy street. I absolutely loved the breakfast, the hotdog and bee hoon is nice. On 2nd floor there are beanbags and travel books for light reading while waiting to use the bathroom.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm. Room was quite small. Lockers were a good size. Beds were comfy. Air con was old but worked fairly well. Wi-Fi didn't work very well upstairs. Had low signal and kept not working every few minutes. Other than that it was nice. Would stay again

I stayed at the Ryokan Muntri Boutique Hostel with three friends. The location of the hostel makes exploring the historic parts of Georgetown an absolute breeze. There are a lot of fabulous bars and cafes nearby as well. The hostel offers a free breakfast which was really lovely and had both a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option. The rooms were clean...

This hostel is very modern and snazzy. It is in a perfect location to explore Penang and the staff were more than helpful. The hostel has a homely but classy feel to it. Wifi could definitely be improved throughout. We stayed in a 4 bed room which was a little small but perfect for what we needed. The showers and...

I was a bit disappointed by this hostel after reading all of the great reviews. Everything was rather basic -- the beds were uncomfortable, and the communal showers were a bit dirty. I also didn't think the common spaces were that great for meeting new people, though I was able to meet some interesting fellow travelers that shared my room....

Dear Stephanie2743, It was lovely to have you stayed with us at Ryokan though from time to time we may miss the cue in meeting guests' expectations, largely due to backpackers' travel journeys where they have already traveled to many cities and stayed at many hostels before they came to us. Comparisons are often made and judgements conveyed in the...

Very happy with this place. Staff were all helpful, kind and friendly. I stayed in a decent room. Blanket and towel was supplied. I shared with 3 other girls. The bathrooms were clean and I had no problems staying here. The breakfast was good Too! I would stay there again!

I had a great stay here. I was in a 4-bed mixed dorm and thankfully had good roommates. The hostel is close to the action, but doesn't have noise. Not at all a party hostel, be warned. The breakfast was really good - toast, sausages, roti chanai, curry and eggs. It\s right in the middle of Georgetown and close to...

Place was clean and the rooms were well managed. You get to have your own light and charging stations with three hubs and 1 usb so you won't need to stand or leave the bed and disturb other guests. I think the problem was that the body wash dispenser was not replenished for two days but there was shampoo in...

First of all this hostel had about 20-25 children staying here running around and screaming at all hours of the day. The "chillax zone" where you are clearly supposed to "chillax" was anything but.. as this is where the childrens' rooms were where they would just be running around in the hall or banging and yelling in the rooms. I...
