We rented the separate Blue House which is around the corner from the 23 Lovelane hotel. That house was a tremendous place for friends and family with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, several places to lounge/gather and great character. The location is good with lots of places in walking distance. Very thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't think of a negative.

Enjoyed a 4-night stay in the Garden Room of the Anglo Indian Bungalow. The bathroom was spacious and outdoor shower and bath were a nice feature. Spot-on location in Georgetown which was great for wandering around the Unesco Heritage zone. Service was friendly and unobtrusive. Breakfast and afternoon tea were included in room rate. The local tea spread changed daily...

A restored historic hotel within a private compound within a gated wall makes the place special. Each room is individually styled and decorated. It has a cosy homely common lounge for guests to relax and enjoy complimentary tea, biscuits and fruits. Our room is attached to the main house in the Anglo Indian Bungalow through a garden path and it...

We got to this hotel by accident but never regretted. It’s very charming boutique-hotel with wonderful staff. Perfectly located in the heart of historic Georgetown. Each room is spacious and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The building had been carefully restored to its original architectural design and upgraded with modern amenities. The hotel also serves tea and breakfast daily, and soft drinks and biscuits are on the house. Aside from these, there are always room for improvement: a) All glass toilet doors have to be changed to tempered glass. My friend suffered deep cuts on...

I can't say enough good things about my stay here: I absolutely loved it! In fact, I would return to Penang, just to stay at this wonderful hotel again. The service was amazing, and the staff would fit right into any of the world's top hotels. The room was unique and had a character like no other. Do yourself a...

My Mom and I stayed at 23 Love Lane for the weekend and it is truly a boutique hotel in every sense - from the accommodation style, the elaborate and varied display of art, the decor and the customer service. The hotel is close to the Blue Mansion and towards the top end of George Town. It is a very...

23 Love Lane is a very good Hotel. They have very friendly staff. They have a very nice, quiet, cozy environment! Enjoyed their good hospitality service! They do serve afternoon tea which is included in the room rate I booked. Walking distance (not even five minutes) to a Local Hawker food place served local delight! =) Lovely Stay and Experience!

Lovely little hotel in a great location. This is a boutique heritage hideaway so don't come here to party: it's a quiet spot full of beautiful and carefully chosen furniture, art and furnishings. That said, the parties are going on just up the street and you can walk (and eat!) everywhere in the old town. You'll look forward to coming...

We extended our stay because we enjoyed Penang and 23 Love Lane so much. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and the hotel itself was very charming and a great place to stay. Great location right in Georgetown near all the sights. Our room was clean, spacious, and everything was great. Breakfast is served at the hotel's restaurant with...
