Seven Terraces is a grand row of seven C19th Anglo Chinese terraces. The hotel is situated in one of Penang’s finest and most intact heritage streets which is in the very heart of the World Heritage Site and next door to the 1810 Goddess of Mercy Temple with just a few minutes walk from all the major icons. It successfully captures and celebrates the spirit of this world heritage town and its unique Peranakan culture.

Seven Terraces is a well-known Heritage Hotel in Georgetown, Penang. It needs no introduction, with this in mind, in this review, I will be focusing on their top-notch customer service. We had our wedding celebration at Seven Terraces & Kebaya dinning room. We faced countless hurdles from planning to execution phase, the complication intensity as our wedding was during the period when there’s a surge of Omicron cases. Colin, Syahrul, Han and all the team members have provided personalized service. They have supported us thoroughly and have ensured our wedding day ran smoothly. Some examples to share Syahrul gave us a virtual tour of the hotel rooms and dinning room when we were in Singapore. This has greatly helped us in our planning and decision making process. When we arrived in Penang, Colin organized a meeting with us to understand our needs and requirements. He gave us a tour of the different rooms and explained the background behind the antique pieces. In addition, Colin is very accommodating, he provided us the consent to have an important tradition Chinese wedding ritual at the courtyard. During our stay, Han has ensured the rooms are in good shape and provided attentive service. Given that our wedding was held at Kebaya, we requested for ironing service. Han has personally helped to steam ironed our wedding attires. It was a good helping hand, gave us more time to focus on the final preparation before our wedding day. At the wedding luncheon, Syahrul has put up a great show. His entire team have served my guests professionally. We are very pleased that we celebrated our greatest moment in life at Seven Terraces & Kebaya. Thank you very much all.

Location is great to explore Georgetown. Places of interest is within a short walking distance. The rooms are great giving one the ambience of living in the 1920. The nyonya fusion restaurant is a MUST try. Small details in that the main room can have better lighting. Carpet need regular vacuuming.

Hotel setting takes you back in time, but with very modern amenities. Staff are very hospitable and accommodating - and very thoughtful on small things to make our stay more comfortable. Make sure you keep 1 night to dine at the in-house Kebaya Dining Room, for updated Peranakan specialties. Terrace rooms are 2 floors, connected by a staircase. If climbing these might be difficult for older folks, do request for a room with a downstairs bedroom.

Lovely family room full of peranakan furniture. Not so ideal for kids below 8 as the stairs to the second bedroom is small and steep. We were a family of 4 with kids aged 14 and 11. The service was wonderful, friendly staff room was cleaned well.

Room Tip: Stairs are a little bit hard to manoeuvre so not really suitable for wheelchair or strollers....

Was given a complimentary upgrade as one of the other properties was undergoing some maintenance and they were thoughtful enough to move us here. The staff at 7 Terraces who welcomed and attended to us (her name: Wendy) was super delightful and friendly and made the stay so relaxing. The architecture and Peranakan treatment of the place was so detailed and on point. The location was in George Town was perfect to explore the surrounding areas. The rooms were clean and the pool was almost private. We left the place wishing we could come back again immediately. How's that for a review.
