Room was large and had every thing we needed, it was great having access to a pool to cool down and a spa in our room to relax in after long days of exploring Georgetown. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from each day. Staff were very attentive to our needs.

Arrived with my partner and greeted with warm welcoming. The Blue Mansion is stunning and out of this world, very unique! All staff were excellent and polite. Room cleanliness was of a high standard, cleaned everyday. They hotel provided you with some evening snacks delivered to your room, which I thought as a good touch. Breakfast was amazing, with a great view of the centre courtyard. The breakfast food too was great, high quality and plenty of choice. Overall, I’d rate my stay 10/10.

Always wonderful to visit this beautiful house. Lunch in the Indigo restaurant was a lovely calm experience on a hot afternoon, looking through stained glass to the heat outside. Great menu. If you eat there, you are then free to wander around the public areas but not the accommodation section.

We had a fabulous stay here. From checking in to leaving nothing was too much trouble. Great room. Spacious and clean as was the bathroom. We had a room near the pool which was great. All the staff were fabulous. Reception, bar and breakfast staff. Absolutely so obliging always. So full of history…

This unique oasis is in an ideal part of Georgetown allowing for easy access to the amazing architecture close to the free city bus. The Blue Mansion provided respite from the heat of the day and we enjoyed refreshments in the gorgeous courtyard. History oozes from every part of the heritage building and the daily tour brings that history to life. We stayed 3 nights and our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented. We'll be back!

Ali is the Head Bartender who makes first class delicious cocktails and will make your experience amazing! The Blue Mansion is full of character, so check out the photos attached and you will understand the great vibe the hotel has to offer and the restaurant is also awesome headed up by Vincent. All the staff at The Blue Mansion are to be congratulated as we had an awesome time and will be back! I must also mention Jashim who greeted us, helped catch a lizard with Firefighters and said goodbye to us!

So...there are two parts to this review. I'll start with the good one. First, we stayed in one of the town houses for 3 nights. The town house is great, right in the middle of the old town. You can walk to wherever you want. Ours had two bedrooms, it is a big house fully equipped with kitchen, aircon, laundry even a couple of bikes to take out. The house is very tastefully decorated and a really nice place to spend time in. Note that as it is in the historic centre it can get a bit noisy though we never noticed and they do provide earplugs for all guests. We also had access to the main hotel so could go to the pool (more like a plunge pool to cool off), bar and breakfast room. Breakfast is good if a bit too westernised. Now to the second part which contradicts a bit the "access" point above: The reason we wanted to stay in the Blue Mansion was to experience the main building. It is a living museum of outstanding beauty. As such, we booked a room 9 months ahead. A few weeks later we were told that due to an event they would have to "upgrade" us to the town houses but were assured we could still have full access to the main building, the pool, breakfast and lounges. On arrival we saw that the event was a wedding. No problem. However we were also told that on that day the hotel was out of bounds and for next morning "only" we would also have to have breakfast at the cafe vs the main hall as the wedding guests would still be there. Full access would resume after the wedding guests would depart. We had our breakfast next day in the cafe and, while it was very nice, it was quite very limited in choice (vs the normal menu in the hotel). Being in Georgetown I could find a dozen other more interesting cafes to have breafkast. We went back in the afternoon to the pool and had a couple of very nice cocktails. The 2nd day we went to the hotel for breakfast, finally, in the main hall (again, very nice if a bit too westernised). The 3rd day we went for our breakfast only to be told that yet again we could not have breakfast as there was, suprise, another wedding the night before and guests were there so were sent off to the cafe. So to sum up, we started by booking 3 nights in the main building, were told we'll get 3 nights in the town house and full access to the house yet ended up with effectively 1 afternoon and 1 morning of access. What was annoying was that on the first day we were assured that we'd have full access after the first wedding's guest left yet we were turned away in the last minute of day 3. I'm pretty sure nobody booked the mansion spontaneusly for the second wedding... On check-out I complained that this was hardly the point of the booking and I could very well have stayed in another hotel and just visit the house for some photos. I was just left with an empty stare and a sorry bye. So...to sum it up, lovely place to stay if you manage to actually stay in it. I guess what saves it is that the price is very reasonable, hardly more expensive than other far less interesting hotels. The main building is indeed impressive, the town house very well restored, both a time capsule of a different era. Would I go back? No.…

My family and I visited the hotel. When we entered it a talented musician was playing the chinese harp. It was very relaxing. The hotel is wonderful and the drinks were great! Selva the waiter was extremely kind. Definitely worth a visit!!!!
