The friendliest staff ever and the place had such a good vibe. Two recreational areas, tv, kitchen, pool table, great for relaxing on an evening with fellow travelers. Clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable. Dorm room was basic but nice with a fan. Great value for money. The best hostel i have stayed in by far. I would definitely recommend...

This is the perfect place to stay in KK. The rooms were clean and what you would hope to expect at a good backpackers hostel. Just a few minutes walk from the airport, 3 minutes walk to the beach - what more could you ask?? The staff are friendly and will try to help you whenever they can - the...

We (2 females) left the Beachouse yesterday to return to Australia. We found the Beachouse over the internet and emailed to reserve our twin room with airconditioning. We were welcomed by the friendliest staff I have ever met, who proceeded to take care of everything we needed. We booked very cheap (and great value) snorkelling trips for our first two...

I wanted to share with everyone who may stop in Kota Kinabalu for a night, a week, or a month! I stayed at Borneo Beachouse a couple nights and it was a relaxed and chilled place to hang. It was only a 5 min walk from the airport, a beach the same distance away complete with markets for fresh food...

This place was great. The staff was very very helpful and nice. They'll help you with anything that you need and they are willing to give you advise on traveling around borneo. the only problem is that they are kinda far out of the city and the beach that its on is NOT for swimming. There are great restaurants around...

I'd been travelling in Borneo for 3 weeks with very mixed experiences as a female lone backpacker. I had just about had enough and decided to leave Borneo in despair when I happened across this little gem. The staff here are outstanding, they behaved better than any staff I've ever experienced, including that of 5 star hotels. They loaned me...

We arrived here by accident in the middle of the night - given a wrong taxi voucher and a taxi driver who couldn't read a map. They found us a room, clean, comfortable, reassuring. Helpful, laid back, can't say what a relief it was. And we just joined the other guests - with a beer and good company life started...

I had an awesome time at the house. The rooms were clean and the decorations gave a laid-back feel. It was great for crashing after a long day touring/beaching. The guys Dave, Mark, and Hanz were all very friendly and entertaining. Greeting us on arrival each time we returned to the house. Dave was especially helpful with arranging cabs and...
