Very happy with my room. Location of hotel was perfect for me. Easy parking for my hire car. Not far from the airport (as I was leaving early the next day) Didn't have breakfast as I left too early. Comfy bed Clean bathroom Happy to recommend
This hotel was referred by my sister. The hotel provide free shuttle to & fro KK airport and they provide breakfast. As we need to leave at 4am, they even packed the breakfast for us. Value for money, good for stopover one night near airport before early morning flight to oversea.
Hotel room is basic but clean, and good value. Free airport pickup/drop off is excellent, just make sure you call to make booking. The driver somehow missed us at airport but came back to pick us up when you called the hotel. Free breakfast is reasonably good (noodle, scramble egg, sausage, bean). There are eating places/restaurants and shops nearby. It is also about 2km from Tanjong Aru beach, and a few kms from town center. Will stay there again.
When you fly in around midnight, the last thing you need is to commute for another hour to your room. Megah D'aru provides free airport pick up and gets you to hotel in a safe and expeditious fashion. On the day we arrived it looked like it was held down by a wedding party. The rooms are simple and clean breakfast which was included was adequate the skeleton crew on hand was helpful and mindful. They spoke little English.
I use booking.com, and communicate with hotel through the email from the site. It's very fast response. Hotel provide to and from airport free shuttle. Hotel van driver hold my name outside the departure exit and greet us friendly. It's only 5 mins drive away from airport. There have many coffee shop (halal or non halal) and chinese restaurant just next to the hotel. This area still have many hotel look great from the outside but please search carefully as some don't have lift, but this hotel have lift. Breakfast time start at 7:30am, so if you leave early and your room include breakfast, you can ask hotel to get reading your take away breakfast which is only sandwiches and mineral water, but it's better than nothing. You can find coin payment laundry shop and convenience shop next to it. You can purchase cheaper things/mee cup from the corner retail shop instead of go to Orange. The hotel is under upgrade progress at the moment, so little bit painting smell. The bedsheet and room look old but still acceptable as we only spend one night. Our water heater not function, hotel staff act very fast and repair it on the spot without trouble us to change to other room.…
We stayed a night here while on transit from an oversea trip. Located at the “back side” of Tanjong Aru town, it is not easily visible for first time guests. For our group, the hotel provided complementary shuttle service from and to the airport. There are a few restaurants in the vicinity serving seafood, mamak’s specialties and Chinese stalls. Some open for twenty-four hours. A supermarket is also available a short distance away. Taxis are available too.
I arrived in the KK airport and though they had committed to send a shuttle for me upon my arrival, there was none. I tried reaching them through e-mail but did not get a response. I ended up booking a Grab car, and when I arrived at the hotel it seems like I was not expected. This, despite several e-mail communications back and forth where they even asked for my flight details. Ok, the details: Room has the essentials - toiletries (soap and shampoo only), towels, good-sized bed, water heater, etc. There seems to be provisions for smoking as there was an ashtray in the room. The place has a '70s vibe to it. There's a waft of "old place" smell, but it is clean enough. It is near the airport which means sometimes the noise from planes lifting off can disturb your sleep, but it is not too often. There are A LOT of local restaurants and convenience stores in the area, very local vibe. People often spoke to me in the local language thinking I am a resident. Breakfast is the same daily. I liked the Mee Goreng, there are scrambled eggs, sausages, rice, toast and coffee as well. Wifi access is available only at the lobby. Heading back to the airport the shuttle driver will not help you with the luggage. The checkout experience was good, though, and the lady behind the counter even extended my checkout time. All in all I would recommend based on proximity to local stores and restaurants. I would have given it a higher rating if my check-in experience was better and if the shuttle service was provided as they committed upon my arrival.…
Upon arrival to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia I was blessed to find this amazing and wonderful place to stay. Just outside of the city, yet close enough to town, with lots to do and nice places to eat all around. KFC being one of my best places :-) awesome customer service, great room keeping and the breakfast was always special.
We asked for a hotel close to the hotel as we were coming in late and leaving early the next day. It fitted the bill for that, it's right on the flight path. The room was basic but mostly clean. There was noise from outside the room with people coming and going as the inside of the hotel has a central area that is open all the way up all floors. Breakfast was a weird mix rice, scrambled eggs, sausage, beans. Airport transfers were included.
Stayed for one night only, booked by external party. Was disappointing to see the poor state of the room. The towels provided smelt awful. Toiletries provided was of very poor quality. The only good thing is the free hotel shuttle to airport. Can't wait to get out of there.
