Lucy's became by base whilst traveling around Sabah. It's not a hostel, it's a homestay, so some rules have to be followed. There's a curfew time at 12am, so I don't think it's suitable for young people who just want to go out and get hammered till late. Staying at Lucy's is like staying at home. She's like a mum...

I don't get the idea of Lucy offering the rooms only for foreign tourists. I don't know whether she don't consider local tourists as tourist or she don't think we can pay. When my friend and I went to Lucy to book a room (we did not do any early booking but upon or arrival we were informed that there...

Lucy has one of the best home-stays in Asia, she helps with tips in the region and is really friendly. This homestay is perfect for those who want to explore Kota Kinabalu and the districts around, for a couple of days or as a hub. We had a great time!!

I stayed for a night in Lucy's Homestay and I was satisfied with all the effort Lucy & Shaun had given me. They are accommodating and helpful in any way. The place is located at the heart of the city. Clean, comfortable bed and cheapest price in KK City.

We only stayed here one night in the dorm after I got bitten by many different insects and bugs in my bed. The dorm was very small and very hot during the night and also the bathrooms looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. However, the library room and the breakfast was nice, but I would not...

Reading some of the reviews I get where miat of them a re coming from. Personally I had a negative impression of her upon check in. After explaining her rules and we agreeing on it then she showed us around. Cosy place, you pay for what you get. No aircon but there's alot of information about travelling in Sabah there....

We really loved it at Lucy's. She is such a nice person and we had a really great time with her and the other guests. Some more information about the hostel: - 2 Bathrooms with cold shower - 2 clean Toilets - 2 dormrooms (and i think 1 more room for single travellers) - possibility to cook yourself - really...

It's basic but clean and comfortable. The location is safe and well situated around the bus station and city. I would say that anyone who wants to go party and drink, don't stay here. If you're more interested in restaurants and sightseeing, it'll suit you

Lucy was nice and gave me ginger tea. The price for a dorm was okay. The beds don't come with a blanket, you have to ask, but you don't really need one as the rooms are kinda warm. There's a couple of friendly cats. Small, pleasant, and clean environment. Nothing amazing, but adequate.
