Let me start by saying we paid 45 USD per night for this hotel. I know that is not so expensive, but for 50 USD, you expect a lot more than what we got. We stayed there the night before, and the night after, our Mt Kinabalu hike. The first night was okay - despite a lengthy check-in process and the fact that our room had no windows (the A/C worked fine). However, after we came back from our hike, we paid an extra 12 dollars (!!!) so we could at least have a window. Still all fine. However, being extremely sleep deprived we fell fast asleep at 8pm, only to be woken up at 10pm by someone RINGING THE DOORBELL to our room and I don't even know why a hotel room would have a doorbell. We didn't even begin to care why staff would ring our doorbell at that time and luckily we fell right back asleep. When we woke up we realized they had also slipped a note under our door saying the pump had broken and there was no water. That's it. No bucket, no 'would you like to get the heck out of here', no nothing. Thus, I went downstairs and begged for a bucket at least (you would think they would have brought this immediately - I'm actually no stranger to staying in places without running water). The guy then offered me some nasty bucket from the lobby bathroom that had been sitting next to the toilet. No thanks. He then told me to be patient, and two hours later, a small bucket was brought to our room. Thanks, we are checking out now. For this inconvenience, they refunded the 12 extra USD we had paid to upgrade to a window. Wow, thanks a lot. For a hotel room with NO WATER meaning we could not shower nor use the bathroom nor even wash our hands, one should at least be given a free stay (or a voucher or something). In the end we ended up being charged 45 USD for a hotel room with no water. Completely unacceptable.…
The hotel was clean. My room was quiet, had good internet during my stay, good bed to sleep in and was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great. Plenty of hot foods with many options. Mainly an Asian breakfast but very good quality. I recommend and would stay here again. The location is great also as you can walk to a mall in 5 minutes.
The room suites its price. acceptable size and comfort . nice location with everything nearby. shops, markets and even spas are all within walking distance.the room came with buffet dinner for two pax. dinner was ok. The only problem was the water supply. waking up to no water supply in the bathroom was horrendous. after complaining, the water pressure was back but it was so slow that i had to used water bottles to store water and shower. soooooooooooo dissapointed.
I had a mixed experience for my stay. I would still give it a 4, especially because of the general manager who tried to make my experience great. I booked deluxe double and had some aircon issue, thankfully, I was upgraded to deluxe executive which made my experience better. I still feel the hotel staff needs to be more professional. I had an early morning flight and checked at the reception if they can provide take away breakfast boxes 2 days before checkout, I was informed it can be done. I double checked one night before if they can arrange and they still confirmed. However, when I went in the morning, there was some other staff who was clueless and said their kitchen opens at 6 am (I was supposed to leave at 6am) That was quite disappointing, It is fine if something cannot be arranged, just inform the guests so that they can make alternative arrangement. Overall, the location is great! Just few minutes walk from Waterfront.…
We checked in to the hotel late evening today , only to realise that the Aircon in the room doesn't work. It took us 3 visits to the reception and 1 hour to finally have them change our room. The Aircon in the new room is equally ineffective. There were no glasses in the room either. Upon requesting for glasses, we were told that the restaurant closes at 9 pm and they can’t provide anything (it was 10 pm then). The shower cabins have no space to keep basic toiletries. We stayed in another hotel for 2 nights just a day before we checked in here ( incase you got to know the name, have put a review for that as well :)), highly recommend that hotel over this one. Don't get misguided by the high ratings! Strongly recommend NOT to stay here.
A small boutique hotel surrounded by shoplots and fronting Starbuck. Room quite small but sufficient. Avoid booking to include breakfast as the price will look as you are staying in a 3-4 star hotel when its actually rated 2 or lesser. Walking distances to all amenities and KK attractions.
Booked a standard room from via Agoda and was given a windowless room instead. Front counter advised that all their standard room are without window! As i don't like the feeling of confinement, I added RM50/room/night for a queen deluxe with window. Nevertheless, curtain as not properly installed and aged. there was a storm on the 1st night and water managed to sip inside and the wind noise keeps us awake not forgetting the water dripping sound from a floor above. I have stayed at this hotel for a number of times and this will be my last.
For a 2-Star hotel, we never expected that it could compare to a 3star. We booked a deluxe room with queen Bed which is comfortable with 4 pillows. Aircon is quiet and it works perfectly fine. Tv 32 inch with only 1 international channel Fox movies, which is okay. no airconditioning in Bathroom though window is open as a vent (wch is fine) , and they have bidet wch is great. They have Buffet Breakfast in an open retaurant motif with sufficient selection and Good food. Service is okay. Amenities is okay, though they dont have blower and international adapter for chargers, so we just bought outside for 5MYR. FREE and Good WIFI. The great aspect is LOCATION! its near and in the center of everything. almost across Night Food Market. We took a grab to Signal Hill Observatory, and walk from there to Atkins clock tower to Gaya Street to Suria Mall to Filipino Market back to Hotel. There is also Free wifi almost in the Whole City so no need to worry about navigation or maps.…
Made a last minute booking for a one night stay. The hotel is located next to the mall. Starbucks and several convenient store is next to the hotel. The lobby Very small with limited seating capacity. Checking in Check in was a bit slow as there are some people in front of me; and they were making a big fuzz about the 'deposit' need to be paid; hence slowing down the check in process. The room Got the room located in front of the lift. Room layout is small and no view; facing a block. Hence curtain need to be shut. Limited TV channel. Small toilet. Sink got stuck (with water). Shower water pressure is bit low. Issue Upon check in slight after 3PM; they dont even have the towel ready. They said all towels were sent for cleaning. Wow; mind you i managed to get the towel later late eve way after 5PM. Dont know what to say; since i stayed less then 24 hours before my morning flight out. Maybe the management can look into this; managing this matter. Overall; i dont have much expectation for the price paid. Staff were average.…
every cent spent for our accommodation here was WORTH it! the staff was so accommodating, they placed me and my girls at the 1st floor near to the cafe and lift so we had easy access. the breakfast spread was mouth watering and amazing..i miss the KK waterfront curry laksa already!! and the coffee for the breakfast spread was the best..the hotel uses their local Tenom coffee and this is a nice touch to their menu...bed was comfy, hot shower was running fine and a/c worked the whole time we were there..no complaints and will definitely return! the location of the hotel is also an added plus!
