Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is a great City Hotel, nice local street food around. We enjoy a perfect stay, the Breakfast buffet is amazing. The rooms are big and clean. It was very crowded during breakfast time bud the staff was helpful and extreme friendly. You get greeted by name while you check in to the coffee shop. One highlight is...

There are some very good things about this hotel. The staff are generally excellent, particularly at front of house where they are hospitable, informative and welcoming. The hotel is in a good location close to good eateries and shops. However the entire hotel needs a make over, especially the rooms. Carpets are old and worn out, the strange bathroom configuration...

Stayed for 4 nights in a club floor room. Lovely room and a lovely view. The pool was fairly small. There were many restaurants nearby why we never tried the restaurant in the hotel The staff in the lounge were very helpful. Especially Emily gave us good advice. Breakfast and afternoon drinks in the lounge were good

Great staff / excellent food but hotel is tired and not at standard of a Hyatt. Old carpets, faded paint, broken light fittings, - but hotel matches what is a very unusual town! Close to shops and water. Good gym, attractive pool area. Not much required to make this Hyatt a 5 star hotel.
