I had a great stay at Lavender Lodge. I stayed in a private room and it was impeccably clean. I also saw the shared bathrooms for the dorms and they seems very clean as well. Breakfast was really basic (toast with butter & jam, watermelon & coffee/tea) and if the hotel would want to improve, the breakfast would be a...

Stayed with my treaking team before and after our climb to Mount Kinabalu. I loved the way the staffs and owner welcomed us. Very friendly, helpful and supportive. Rooms are very neat, speciscous and well maintained. Washrooms are separated but very neat. Since it's a hostel type place you don't get in-house dine but everything available within 200m footprint. Overall...

I stayed there for a night. The place located near Kampung Air Night Market. The place is quite decent and most importantly, clean. A small room with basic facility. Perhaps for those who just need a place to sleep, this place is really ideal.

We stayed here for a night before and after our climb of Mt Kinabalu and the ladies were always so welcoming and helpful. The facilities are clean and you get breakfast every morning. The best part was that the beds were comfortable!

Breakfast included (just toast, fruit, jam, coffee - but still nice not to have to go our right away), immaculately clean, friendly owners, and within walking distance of everything. My son and I never had to take a taxi or bus anywhere while staying here. Terrific value for the money.

I've been here for three days, don't expect too much. The rooms are clean, enough space for the two of us. Though there's no elevator way up the third floor so you will climb thru stairs. The Filipina receptionist is so kind. Some good places to eat are within the area. :)

I stayed there with 2 friends twice this summer .. relaxing with everything you would need. Perfectly situated for the airport and other activities the lodge is clean, and the hostess very nice! They helped us a great lot! Breakfast is good, filling and healthy. Down sides : internet connexion is fast but computer itself slow.

Good location in the heart of the city, 5-7 mins walk from the bus station. Easy to reach by airport bus (until 10pm) and easy to take a shared taxi from the station to Kinabalu. The hostel itself was average. Mostly clean. Breakfast wasn't much, a couple of toasts and watermelon. Male dorm room is apparently on the 4th floor,...

Positives- clean,, friendly reception, good location Negatives - lots of stairs, creaky bed, aircon only during certain hours, no social area Overall was a good enough experience for a night or so but in such a hot humid city must be better options
