Great to get off a 14 hour bus trip and land at the Singgahsana Lodge. They set our 4 kids up in a room with a bunk bed and 2 singles - they had no bathroom - but each floor had ample toilets and showers. We had a fabulous basement room with private bathroom and a reading annex. Really cute....

This hostel is amazing! Staff is superfriendly and willing to help you with anything. Rooms are clean. The bunkbed in the dorm was supercomfi, the best bed I've slept in in all of Borneo. Rooftopbar is cool, it's a nice place to chill. Breakfast is simple but better than average. Location is very good, just 3 steps from the Waterfront....

This hostel provides comfortable environment and mattress for a good sleep and rest in a very decent price! The location also very strategic that it is just a walking distance to Kuching waterfront, souvenir shop and restaurant. The staff here also very friendly to recommend some interesting places for eat and sightseeing around the downtown some travel packages (eg to...

The Singghasana is a great hostel in the middle of town. It backs onto cool little backstreets and is across from the river. We stayed as a family of four in a clean basic room with a large bed and bunkbeds. The little bar upstairs is a nice retreat and everyone is friendly. Light sleepers may be bothered by the...

I highly recommend to spend some time at this nice lodge. The staff will help you to plan any tour or trip, they will always give good tips and recommendations. They will share experiences and stories with you and if they have time they will even take you with them to explore around the city. Open up to the ever...

What a great location! Walking distance from shops, restaurants, many sites and the river! Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Decent beds in dorms. Sturdy beds! Good air con and wifi. Great bar, couldn't understand why it was so quiet up there! Seems like an untapped place which was a shame! Helpful staff can organise taxi's and tours if interested. Very knowledgable...

Stayed at Singgahsana for the recent RWMF2016. Overall i love how this lodge is centrally located in the city. You have lots of 7eleven,restaurants & coffee shop around. Bars aplenty too for some nightlife. I'd say a perfect budget stay for those who are going to the yearly Rainforest World Music Fest (RWMF) since the shuttle bus to the event...

Hostel is leagues ahead of others in the area. It is full of useful information for traveling through Borneo, staff are friendly, rooms are very clean and hang out area/bar is awesome with plenty of space to meet other travelers. One of the most homely hostels that I've stayed at.

We booked into Singgashana for a couple of nights. The dorms were hot and smelt damp. Nor were the staff particularly helpful. The one redeeming feature is the rooftop bar which is a great place to meet people. Special mention to the bar man Adam who was awesome.

1. All sort of footwear are not allowed after lobby. Be careful if you leave your shoes at the shoe racks, I think if your shoes are expensive, you better keep them in your room. 2. There is only 1 socket in a quad room. But you can charge your electrical appliance at common place and let the staff to...
