The hotel is easy to spot from the main road, with its grey grandiose presence. The entrance to the premise is locked all the time and controlled by access card. Check in was smooth and easy. All room here are none smoking. My windowed deluxe queen room costs me RM158 at the hotel website, which is considerably lower than some online agents. The hotel requires CASH deposit of RM100 - so please have it handy to avoid trouble. I was given a pouch that contains remote control for AC and TV.
My room was located at the ground floor, same level as the lobby. This works out good for me, but also means that the window is useless for me as my window is facing directly to the hotel back alley. The room itself is nice and clean, with good size bathroom. There is one open wardrobe, safe, fridge (which doesnt seem to work for me), study table. There is coffee making facility (kettle, coffee mix). Hotel also provides complimentary daily two bottles of drinking water, and toothbrush. Ironing facility is available on loan from the front desk. The bathroom is not meant to be dry, but the water drained very fast. When i first entered the bathroom, it has quite strong stinky smell, but the bathroom was clean enough for me to think it might come from its drainage instead of the bathroom itself. Thankfully, the smell however doesnt overpower the room and faded away after you use the bathroom frequently.
It's on the quiet side of the block but still accessible to many restaurants and shops.
Room was clean enough. It had an ant problem, however. Also, there is barely enough space for 2 persons to move about.
The bathroom posed a problem for us, as it was impossible to shower without getting the whole bathroom floor wet. Sink had trouble draining.
Make sure to get a room with a window. The windowless one we stayed in was stuffy and felt like a prison cell with no natural light streaming in.
A tip for you: if you are a light sleeper you might want to ask for a room not facing the front side because it can get pretty noisy with the band playing at night at the mall accross the road.
Beware though, even if you do book a room with a window, particularly online, you might be placed in one that overlooks a building. Those rooms are dark. Ask for a room facing the road specifically. It's not noisy and you can draw the curtains.
The safe is tricky as both the rooms that my colleagues and I stayed in failed. They said they had problems with it. They did resolve it by contacting someone who took half an hour to get there with a key.
Excellent wifi connection. One of the best connections that I have had and was able to complete a lot of my work at the hotel.
