Riad Baladin has potential but is in need of some TLC. The weather was windy during our three-night stay and we were kept awake by the wooden doors leading from the room to the courtyard creaking and banging all night. One side of the room consists of thin, partition windows and doors which let draughts and noise flow through easily....

We had the best nap of our lives in our terrace room with the wind sweeping in. Lovely staff and good vibes. The terraces and staircases are bewitching and offer breathtaking views. The manager and staff were very kind and the feeling amongst guests is amiable. Light and airy!

Nice riad centrally located in the medina. Great rooftop terrace with various areas to sit and relax! Breakfast was fresh and lots of variety. Stefanie was very helpful whilst staying in the riad and also with communicating online with us before and after our stay. All the best. Kerrie

Lovely decor and design. Very nice breakfast with a varied selection of items - would advise taking the included option. Stephanie was very welcoming and helpful. Nice terrace for relaxing or sunbathing.

I have been travelling through Morocco in total for over two months and have seen many places. At Baladin I for the first time felt home in Morocco. Their concept is to deliver you the best, most personalized experience of Essaouira and sourrounding areas based on your needs and interests. So not only the riad itself with it's beautiful hand-picked...

Great spot, we absolutely loved it, located centrally in the Medina, very comfortable, very quaint, great rooftop terrace made up of loads of different private sitting and lounging areas. Awesome breakfast each day and our host Stefanie was super helpful We've become regular visitors to Essaouira and I'd have no problems staying here again Keith & Aisling

Unlike most guests staying in Essaouira I was in town on business rather than leisure, and stayed one night only. I fancied something different compared to a typical hotel of which there are plenty on offer outside the town. I was met from my taxi by a "barrow boy" who escorted me to the Riad with my luggage in his...

Beautiful riad! Came for one day but stayed for 2 and wished I had more time. I definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Essaouira if you are looking for a nice, relaxing riad. The rooms are gorgeously decorated, and the bathrooms are super fancy. It's open air, and all of the rooms surround a middle atrium, so it...

Firstly, it may be worth pointing out that Essaouira may not be to everyone's taste. First impressions are that it's a little run down and shabby, these were ours certainly, but it does has significant charm and once you immerse yourself into it, you will be charmed, like we were. This is our second visit in a year! The town...

A lovely Riad with comfortable communal areas and roof terrace with great views over the medina. Breakfast in the warm November sun on the terrace is a perfect start to the day. We stayed in two different rooms as our first choice, the white room' was only available on the first night. Both rooms were authentic and stylish but would...
