I stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel looks as if nothing was spent on it in this time. The rooms are old and needs a facelift. Fittings are not secure anymore. I normally rate the hotels I stay in on three things: my bed, my shower, my breakfast. The bed was a small single bed with a duvet...

The hotel has a perfect location with sub-standard rooms and service. No towels or coffee in my room after checking in. Did get towels but no coffee. Bathroom upgrades are about 15 years over due. Breakfast was great. Great location not so great hotel

Made a booking way in advance requesting a room for 2 adults and 2 children. When we got there, there were only 2 single beds in the room, only 2 cups, only 2 towels and only 1 and half roll of toilet paper. I asked for the kids extra bedding and they only brought 1x extra single bed!!! We had...

I’ve never been to this part of the world before, so have nothing to compare it to locally. I stopped here for 2 nights (June 2015) while in Walvis Bay on a business trip. Checking in was quick and efficient, and the room basic but clean with most of the usual things you would expect. The bed was large and...

When i checked in at the Pelican they could not find my booking even thought it was a confirmed phone reservation. The first nite i had no hot water and when bringing it to the attention of the front desk i was...

The rooms are smelly, faded and tired-looking. Maybe it's seen better days or maybe it's just the way it is, you can't really tell. It also gives the impression of being dirty and as I recall, my pillow had that special kind of smell of too many heads having found comfort in it. I'm not sure there's a better option...

On our photographic journey through Namibia we stayed for one night at Protea Hotel Pelican. Our main objective was to photograph the flamingoes in the Walvis Bay. The Hotel is located right on the boardwalk, allowing opportunity for scenic strolls or jogging in the morning. The rooms were neat and well laid out. The linens were clean and crisp. There...

Nice hotel, not stayed in this chain before but we wanted the location. Room had great sea views, standard hotel room really, nice big bed and clean. Had dinner there one night as everything in town was shut, standard buffet but nice enough. Would stay again.
