After a long, exciting drive on the edge of cliffs and gorges to see "the Grand Canyon" of Oman at Jebel Akbar, this is a good spot to have a buffet lunch of Omani cuisine just a short walk from viewing sites for the Canyon. The best part is actually the drive to the summit.

The hotel and the room were very clean. Sometimes too clean. When we were there, the hotel had only 7 guests. It could be quite noisy as the hall and the floor are out of stone. As there are no other places to eat in the direct neighbourhood, we stayed for diner and this was surprisingly very good. Breakfast was...

Very friendly staff, good location to choose within the very limited options on top of the mountain. It is highly priced, natural as we have no much choices. We took a triple bed room which is too small for three adults. An old TV in the room have only two channels!!! Kids will get bored inside the hotel. No in...

This hotel is a good basic option when travelling up Jabal Akhdar. We made the booking through booking.com and it all seemed to go smoothly. We had a suite for my parents and a twin room for me and my sibling. No frills, but it seemed to be clean and was as described in the booking. Staff were friendly I...

Although this place was hygienic and staff friendly, there was nothing to do here. Very quiet and no activities, only had a handful of bikes to rent! There was hardly anyone there and it was very expensive to eat there. That would be fine if the food was tasty and the service reasonably fast. Totally characterless and would not recommend...

This hotel is up in the hills in Oman. You are only allowed up Jebel Akhtar in a 4 wheel drive, so anything taken up there has to be moved up a very scenic road, (I have never seen so many emergency bays on any road) by lorry. Once up there you are free to investigate the flattish plain. The...

nice friendly staff, good clean rooms, food is fine, the price is right for where it is. if you want to spend a load more money - go to sahab, it is better but not half as good value as this place. decent down to earth hotel here.

Poor service, poor room, poor restaurant, poor breakfast and no internet so just a nightmare and during the storm, no electricity. The only good thing is the location because very close to the nice wadis.

One of the other reviewers nailed it: this place will largely reflect your own expectations. We didn't expect anything grand, but had expected a decent 3-star place, but it sadly fell short. The staff were all very friendly, and tried their best with what they had to hand, but it was almost comedically poor in various ways. First off, there...

Stayed for a night with friends. Hotel facilities were good. Rooms were clean and tidy. Food was expensive - as no other hotels are available, had to stick on to it. Space available for BBQ, better if we go with own kit. Slightly expensive, but no option as there are only two hotels. Good choice for family & friends for...
