Came here on a day trip...what a waste of money, the beach area was dirty and the whole hotel was run down and dilapidated...The toilet is also the changing room and it is filthy. Some of the staff were friendly and tried their best, but didn't really make it any better. If you come to Contadora for a day trip... More

We spent the day here as we bought a Day Passers Package through Sea Las Perlas (120$ per person with cruise and day pass at hotel). The service in the hotel was everything else than expected. It was raining the whole day and we arrived soaked and freezing since on the cruise they refused to turn down the a/c. Arriving... More

It looks like if it had better times Now it seems deteriorated ( social areas) and has a leak of considerable amount of wastewater to the beach. We do not recomend this place!! The staff was very kind and helpful The beach is in front of the hotel and they rent chairs and umbrellas

Great views & playa. Clean rooms. Decent food - nothing special. Don't expect luxury or extreme service. There is not too much staff, but they are polite and helpful. One of the best hotels you can get around Las Perlas (Pearl Islands) in Panama. Not exactly "value for money" if you come from other parts of the world, but there... More

Not crowded beach, really nice and calm place to stay! Really enjoyed it, the staff guys are very nice. Very clean and nice rooms, totally worth it. Seems like a bit old but nothing to be worried about, great experience so far!

We stayed one night at the hotel before going on to a week long cruise around the islands. The guys picked us up from the airport which was great and took us there. The only English speaking man on reception was very good and extremely helpful. Our room was fine, comfy bed, but we had a storm during the night... More

A recent change in ownership led to a change in name (from Perla Real Cacique to Mar y Oro). It's not quite "oro" yet. I can't speak to the pricing as our rooms were part of a package. Most of the fixings still said "Perla Real" (beach towels, shower curtain, etc.) The tap water everywhere on the island is not... More

I rented the suite, considering the price I expected much more, toilet was leaking and it was not very clean. The mattress was very uncomfortable and clearly not renewed in a very long time. Owners are very friendly though. When telling this to the owners not much response came.
