This classy old hotel has taken on a tasteful elegant decor, that befits its era and its prestige. It is beautiful, comfortable, clean and has all the modern conveniences. With breakfast included, and the choice of 3 restaurants you never have to leave. The pool is wonderful to escape and relax, making you forget you are in the middle of...

Our family has stayed here several times when we have traveled to Panama. The rooms are larger and very clean. Each room has a hand carved door which is quite unique. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained. The pool and BBQ area is awesome and our 2 boys always enjoy the pool. The pool is always clean. The...

I stayed there for a week on my way to Bocas del Toro with my family. They really have a good service, very clean and big rooms, excellent food. It´s near everything in town. I enjoyed the casino and the BBQ restaurant very very much. Love it.

We recently stayed at Gran Hotel Nacional again during a medical emergency while traveling through the country, and while the hotel does lack a certain finesse that one would expect from a hotel in Panama in this price range, the staff was very accommodating and pool was always a relaxing respite and well maintained. The hotel has a few good...

This is by far the best hotel in David and without question the best value in this price range. We stayed at three hotels in David in the last few months and while this one is about $12.00 a day more than the others, it included breakfast for two people. Based on the type of breakfast they provide, this makes...

On our trip back from Bocas del Toro to Panama City, we had to stay overnight somewhere. Our ferry left Bocas town only at 4:00 PM. The trip to Almiranty takes about 2 hours. Due to the heavy rain and fog in the mountains we only arrived in David round 9:30 PM. Since it was dark and raining we had...

This hotel has been in David for a long time and they have managed to maintain the property, although I don't get the impression it's been remodeled. The dining areas look a bit dated, but there are other places to eat in David. The rooms are large and clean. A wall mounted air conditioning unit puts out plenty of cold...

My husband and I recently spent a night at this hotel. Our room was clean but reeked of mold and mildew. We immediately turned on the ac and opened the door to the hall. Within an hour or so our room was ok. The pool area was nice, dinner at the restaurant was quite good and breakfast the next morning...
