We stayed two nights at Inas. The island itself is really beautiful, but I’d highly recommend to stay at another camp if possible. The cabanas are very basic. Facilities were dirty. The staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Food was served without a smile. The owner wanted us to pay twice although we had already prepaid the whole trip. My raincoat was ruined due to wet paint on one of the boats and nobody told us to pay attention to it. I complained about this to the owner but instead of showing any reaction to me, he started yelling at the guy driving the boat while completely ignoring me. In summary, we didn’t really feel welcome. To be honest, all they want is your money and they didn’t make any efforts to hide that.
We took an organized trip with the hostel we stayed in panama city (casa areka - very recommended). The trip included 2 nights for 2 adults, transportation and meals (310$). On the island we decided to take a boat tour (10$ each), and an extra night (20$ for each). The island is beautiful, if you want the island experience this is the place to go. Do not expect much. A room with sand floor (some have wood floor but not all), terrible beds (super soft, woke up with backache every morning), water in the showers only for 2-3 hours in the evening, same food every day (rice and fish). The host and the stuff are not nice (understatement). But it had nothing to do with us. We kept to ourselves and were fine with it. Sunrises and sunsets are epic. Do not book the tour in advance, you just pay more money for the same tour (everybody going on the same boat). Book it straight from ina. …
We were really disappointed from Isla Ina's. When we arrived, there was no nice greeting. No one gave us a smile, even if we smiled at them. We really felt not welcomed at all. More that, the people were really disgusted by the fact that we were there. The only thing they seemed interested in was our money. When we got to our cabins, the beds were not made. We asked for them to make the bed multiple times. In the end we got sheets and had to do the bed ourselves. What service is that? For breakfast it is just ONE (!!!) pancake. For three days in the row, we got rice with lenses and chicken. The same dish for lunch - three days in a roq. For dinner we got seafood on two days but also again chicken one night. So, two time the day, the same food. The portions are okay but it is not really that you have the feeling to be really full after the meal. Every morning we were woken up and asked if we were leaving the island. They had no overview whatsoever. Everyday, the same question. So hard to remember that we are spending three nights here??? Moreover, there is also a lot of rubbish lying around. Even worse on Pelican island where you make the daytrip to. So many plastic bottles. Disgusting. Why can't they clean it up. They take 22 $ for entrance. Perhaps they can make sure that the islands are at least clean and do something for the money they take. There are a lot of houses on the island. It is more like a village. And Ina's has a lot of cabins so that when it is booked out, it is really crowded. No lonely island feeling at all.…
We planned to spend two nights on Inas Island, but shortened to one. We don't mind at all sleeping in more average places, but the value for money is just not worth it. The organization was so poor that the Island was overbooked, so there were not enough rooms for everyone. We were lucky and got a bed, but not in a private room as booked, but a dorm with moldy mattresses. Snorkeling is average, even if you take a boat trip out. Food is included (rice, pollo, fish, fried bread for breakfast). I don't know if other Islands are prettier and with a more local experience, but this one I would not recommend at all. Prices for the whole experience incl transfer from PCY vary between 165 and 280 Dollar for two nights. So be careful where you book.
Well, you can find here everything - peace on the beach, parties in the evenings, reasonable prices ($1,5 for beer, $1 for a coconut) and the locals serve great food (lobster, for example!). You can escape from noisy reality - there are no TVs here, neither wi-fi and so on. Definiteley worth going for 2 or 3 days! The island is quite tiny, beaches are not crowded (20-30 travellers at one time only), the sea is clear. What to want more?
