A one-star resort at four-star prices. If you want to live like a Kuna Indian in a thatched hut in stifling humidity with no air conditioning, only slow moving fans, dim lighting and barely any water, salt water at that, then the Yandup Resort in...More
Fantastic location on its own island. Individual cabins so you don't hear your neighbors. No A/C, but the cabin design keeps you cool day and night and there is a ceiling fan and stand fan. Mosquito netting over every bed. Flush toilet, but no hot...More
Arriving on this idyllic tropical island is itself a treat. The staff is very helpful arranging some additional food items for our five-year-old and arranging an extra tour to the Kuna community. They even taught us how to blow the conch shell "horn". The food...More

Dear guest,
We understand when negative reviews are based on our mistakes, but this review is based on false ideas. Your accusations to one of our staff members are serious, and it is irresponsible to write something like this in public. All the staff had...More
I can only say good things about Yandup Island Lodge. The location is simply incredible, the cabin lodges are big, very comfortable and clean and all staff is very nice (I would like to thank Ate, Blanco and David in particular). They also organise excursions...More

Panama is on the rainy season from May to November. During that time, we are finishing the rainy season and it is a good time for snorkeling usually.

- there is no bar, but there is an open air restaurant where you can ask for beer. I don't know if they have other alcohol. I recommend you buy a bottle of alcohol in Panama City and take it with you in your luggage.
- I do not know about the beach on the island where the lodge is located, but the beach on the nearby island (where they take you to snorkel) is shallow for about 15 meters, and then there is a deep drop-off.
- I did not see lizards, but depending on the weather, there are some mosquitos and sand fleas. I recommend you take insect repellant.
