Really enjoyable visit. Different than what we are accustomed to but all of our needs/desires were met. William, our guide who continued to accompany us through our trip (InkaNatura Travel) continued to accommodate us. Nice sense of humor, knowledgeable, lots of energy and friendly made our trip a lot more successful. Really beautiful area, nice lake, and nice variety of...

Sandoval Lake Lodge did not only meet our expectations - it exceeded them. The expectations are clearly set out and known beforehand. You wouldn't come here for a sheer luxury break but you'd definitely be staying at the right place for a wonderful experience. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the services of Jose-Luis (Pepe) as our guide. Pepe,...

A beautiful yet simple lodge in the middle of nowhere. It is a relaxed lodge that provides everything you could NEED in the middle of the rainforest. Food was good and plenty of it. The beds were comfortable and the mosquito netting romantic but absolutely necessary. Soap, towels, showers, clean linen hand washed by the staff, screened lodge, hammocks to...

For being in the jungle, in the middle of nowhere, this hotel is perfect for a relaxing day, amazing views and great sights. The rooms are simple, bed, mosquito net and bathroom. The power (from a generator) is on only for a couple of hours a day however the meals were excellent and going to see the giant otters, caimans...

This is a really beautiful location in which to stay and experience the Amazon Jungle. Our guide was excellent so we managed to see an amazing variety of birds animals insects and reptiles, more than we could have hoped. Top tips are bring flip flops (no shoes allowed in doors) pack more insect repellent than you think you need and...

A small piece of soap and mosquito nets brings us all back to our humble existence that no matter how much money you have cannot buy. Meals are simple and lights to go out by 10pm. It's a long house thus noises travel open right through the rooms.

Originally travel agency booked us at Hacienda Conception, last minute switched us to Sandoval. So glad they did. We arrived late, it was dark by the time we hiked in, but that made the hike very exciting, what a great start. We saw snake, cayman, many tarantulas, and bullet ants. The room was clean, neat and well maintained. No insect...

Imagine the most beautiful tropical lake possible and you'll have some idea of this location. Mirror reflections of the sunset and dawn. The white trunks of fruit-laden palm-trees, draped with vines and flowers. Particularly at dawn, a higher density of wildlife than we saw anywhere else in Peru - and that's really saying something. The giant otters often dived under...

We spent 3 nights at Sandoval Lake Lodge. We arrived late in the afternoon, as we entered the lake on a canoe, the scene was breathtaking! The lake was like glass, reflecting the greenery around the edge and beautiful blue skies. The accomodations were very adequate. Food as good except one night, the chicken was very over cooked and dry,...
