We really enjoyed the trip, the facility is fantastic. Takes a bit to get used to the lack of a 4th wall in the rooms but no problem with the impervious mosquito nets. The food was great and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and our guide was very knowledgeable. What a wonderful experience. The lack of parrots and macaws...

We stayed at Refugio Amazonas for 4 days and three nights. The lodge is luxurious. Beautiful rooms open to the jungle, comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Our guide (Angel) was extremely knowledgable and made sure we had the best experience on all of our adventures. I would recommend Refugio Amazonas without hesitation

Thanks to Chimu Adventures, my daughter and I spent four days at the wonderful Refugio Amazonas in the Amazon. After a relaxing two and a half hour trip up the river in a motorized canoe, we arrived at our destination, by this time it was dark and my exit from the canoe wasn't exactly gracefully executed onto the makeshift gangplank,...

The refugio amazonas was absolutely amazing. Great food service and staff that get you anything you could need. Our guide Angel was a very cool guy and was very knowledgeable on the plants and animals that we encountered during our hikes. Saw a ton of wildlife including a harpy eagle with half a monkey in its talons. Pretty cool, just...

Returned to the Tambopata region to experience once again the extraordinary beauty and diversity of the Peruvian rain forest. Thanks to Rainforest Expeditions and Refugio Amazona's commitment to eco-tourism and sustainable practices we enjoyed a superb experience. We made the right decision to pay extra for a private guide in order to maximize our time in the forest. The staff,...

This place was very unique. The accommodation is a glamour camping experience to the max. Hot showers, flushing toilets, good food (good, not brilliant), comfortable bed and....it had a bar where you could relax after searching for every manner of animal and creature. The staff were brilliant. Doing everything possible to accommodate our needs. Now..word of warning...this isn't the Marriott....

Having flown into Lima only two days previously, we four (2 long term friends with husbands) were all nervously waiting to see what the next 3 days held for us. We started with a minibus transfer, then a coach trip and finally a 2 1/2 hour motorised canoe trip right into the rainforest. This was an adventure on it's own,...
