This is a great hostel. Helpful staff, ok location and inexpensive. Neighbourhood is 'popular', not that fancy yet we felt safe. Since we were in Puno on May, the temperature at night went down almost at -5 degC! Good thing is that all beds have lots of thick comforters and that was very appreciated. We also rented a heater for... More

We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom on the ground floor. Puno is a cold town and so are the rooms, so that we ended up keeping our jackets on while there during the day. However, sleeping was not a problem as we were given enough blankets. Also, it is possible to borrow an electric heater. Showers were... More

If you like to walk, El Manzano is in a great central location to the port and the Plaza area. On the weekends there is also a large market right outside the front door which is nice to explore. The private room I stayed in was comfortable and had great hot water (they even had a timetable explaining when the... More

El Manzano was a great value, super clean, and a peaceful place to stay. We had a negative experience at our first hostel in Peru, and El Manzano was an amazing breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it!

Great location between the town centre and the harbour and close to the market. The rooms are basic but they are fine. The staff is quite nice, the breakfast is fine too. I only stayed one night and for this short stay it was perfectly fine.

I stayed here just for one night, but the staff was kind enough to let us check in at 5am as we took a bus from Cusco. Not all the staff speak English, but they're very friendly, and helpful. They can help you out with a range of tours around Lake Titicaca, with English speaking guides. I was really happy... More

Very clean, comfortable private room for cheap price. Wifi was excellent all throughout the hostel. Kitchen is very basic but usable and included breakfast is also simple but tasty. We booked a triple room (with bunk bed) with private bathroom. It was very basic, and the mattress and pillows were too hard for me. The kitchen facilities were VERY basic - basically a 2-burner stove, and a sink. No fridge or microwave. Free breakfast and a good Wifi are pluses. Overall, very basic facilities but the price was unbeatable.
