The room provided a good view of the lake but without air conditioning proved to be stuffy and uncomfortable. Opening the windows helped but a rank smell at 3am that drifted in from outside ended my sleep for the night. The shower had hot water but the bathroom as a whole, was not something to applaud. Oxygen was supplied as... More

A very comfortable and well appointed hotel. Despite being totally wiped out by altitude sickness I really enjoyed watching the sunrise over lake Titicaca. Check in and out was very simple and prices were very moderate for a good hotel.

Possibly the best place to stay around Lake Titicaca; the town of Puno is not considered a nice place to visit, you come here for the lake. So the best place to stay is around the lake and this hotel is well located right on the lake with excellent views. It is also large with excellent facilities Breakfast and dinner... More

During our visit to Puno the Libertador hotel were the ground agents for our stay on boat moored opposite the hotel for which we had booked a 2 night stay before taking the Andean Explorer train from Puno to Cusco. The Libertador were responsible for organising our transfers to and from the boat and providing breakfast on the boat during... More

-Old-fashioned rooms, and small. -The bath room was even worse, if somebody is at the toilet next room, prepare to hear all the sounds... The water pressure at the shower and at the hand washing taps was something that I decided to wash my hair at the next hotel... +Wi-Fi was free and worked well (Skype, Facetime..) +Breakfast was good,... We really enjoyed our stay at Libertador, although I wanted something more quaint, it was the perfect fit after a long day on the lake and feeling ill from altitude. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the beds were so cozy! I liked having all the amenities as a hotel would in the states. We had a suite that... More

Firstly, the hotel is a long way from 5-star by European standards (and Peruvian for that matter!) The rooms are bland and relatively small, the bathrooms dated, and the 'spa' facilities ("hot tub" and sauna) not worth mentioning. It's an unusual style hotel and I can definitely relate to the person that compared it to a 60's Bond villain hideout!... More

Not on the same level as the hotel of this chain in Arequipa. But it was fine and on its own peninsula overlooking Lake Titicaca, with its own pier. The food was alright and a taxi into town was not expensive.

We were a little disappointed by the size of our room on the 4th floor - arriving late with little appetite our initial plan had been to get room service but there wasn't really space(!) - but the view over the lake in the morning more than made up for it. Breakfast was lovely, and luckily our appetites kicked back... More
