The room was warm which is so nice in a town this cold. It has the best shower I´ve had in all of Peru. It is a little noisy though. The beds are decent and the rooms are big enough. It was easy to arrange an overnight trip to the lake, and it wasn´t all that expensive either. I switched...

I've given Hotel Presidente 5 stars because of its location and its wifi. We were in Puno for just over 48 hours, and the central location made it easy for us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The wifi was super fast - about as fast as we've encountered anywhere in South America. Cheap breakfasts at the cafe inside...

The map location for this hotel is incorrect. The hotel is one half block south of the market on Jr. Moquegua at these GPS coordinates: 15°50.2907′S 70°1.5659′W. The single room was affordably priced at s/30, and I paid an extra s/5 for parking. Breakfast is s/5 more, but you can get a much better breakfast for less in the market....

This is a well located, solid option for Puno. The rooms are big, clean and with hot water. Its two blocks or so off the main square. It's not really quiet at night but for 40s a night for a double with a private bathroom it's good. Plus no hassle for selling you any tours or anything.

After a terrible night at another nearby hotel, we moved to the Presidente for a much better experience at the same price. The room was clean and big enough, the location was much quieter and service was fine. The only issue was the lack of hot water when time for showers. Based on other comments, maybe we should have complained...

Trudged around Puno looking for somewhere to stay at a decent price, was either cheap and nasty or way overpriced before we tried Hotel Presidente , price was 40 soles, the room was clean if not drab but with hot water WiFi and staff not hassling you for tours. The stay was pleasant and wouldn't expect anymore for the price,...

We stayed at the Hotel Presidente on our way to an overnight stay at Amantani Island. The location was central and had extremely hot water. The room was very basic but it was close to everything. They also had a very secure garage which was perfect for us since we needed a place to leave our car.

This is a large hotel that has a lot of tour groups. That isn't a problem, it's just not special. We had two rooms, my husband and son got a river view room, and loved it. My daughter and I had an interior room and it was fine. There was a wierd noise that occured whenever the hot water was...

We stayed one night in Puno and wanted a cheap place. You certaintly get a lot for the 50 soles we paid for the twin room. It's not fancy, but clean. We had lots of problems with our bus tickets, since we don't know spanish this was extra troublesome. The staff did a lot to help, they made several calls...

Stayed for just one night when I got back from Arequipa, before leaving Peru and entering Bolivia. Before going to Arequipa I've stayed for a week in another hotel at the corner between Jr Puno/Jr Moquegua (sorry I can't remember its name and it's not on T.A. but I strongly suggest you NOT to go there), which was better looking...
