A friend recommended Durban Hotel in March 2005. First I had doubts when i saw the Hotel for the first time. It doesn't look good from outside. You have to walk up a flight of stairs on the side of the building. So I went up to a Tiny reception area and requested a room check and was impressed. Anyway,...

Highly recommended if you are on a budget and want a clean hotel in a good location with lots to do all around. Only downside was there was no elevator so we had to walk up 2 floors. But that was OK given the price

I was here for my first day in Makati, and while the area is quite a lot of fun, this hotel in particular was a little disappointing -- especially because it had such good reviews. It's cheap but that's all it is. The hallways were hot and dark, and the front office lady was really scowling at me the whole...

We’re not entirely sure about Carlos B’s review either. Our desk has no record of a Carlos B from Canada staying with us recently, We also don’t have a record of anyone in the past month who checked out unhappy, as we make it a point to ask all our guests if they enjoyed their stay with us. We’re not...

Simply the best budget hotel ever! Low room rates yet with great rooms, thick comforters, yup.. Comforters! Very friendly & helpful staff, the new interiors is amazing (I was here on June 2013). Century City Mall is just a walk away & lastly I got to print my flight confirmation ticket & delivered on our room for FREE. What could...

Fantastic for our short stay of 3 nights. Rooms refurbished fairly decently. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Definitely better than others in the area for the same price. Close to bars, convenience stores and variety of foods.

We stayed here last December with my friends from other country on our way to Boracay. The staff are very courteous, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are well taken care of and I love the fact that the bars and restaurants are just around the corner.

I have been to Manila twice, and both times I staid at the Durban Hotel. It is conveniently located in Makati, and not far from the nightlife of Burgos. The rooms are not huge and unluckily some of them lack windows, but the overall value for money is amazing: the rooms are quiet, superbly clean, equipped with TV, fridge and...

Nice, helpful staff. Not all rooms have windows (or a lot of extra space), but they're always clean. Rooms have small safes now. Not all travelers might appreciate the human carnival (or freak show) in the neighborhood, but it is located quite close to Century City Mall (Rustans and IHOP), Rockwell and Greenbelt.

Have been a loyal guest to this establishment since way back when it was still Durban Street Inn. How the hardware is now, is a far cry from when the front desk I remember was just that... a desk on top of the stairs. One thing has remained constant, however, which I believe is Durban's bread and butter.. its people....

Stayed here with the missus for a three night stay. On the last night our friends we were travelling with changed their hotel to join us. Clean room, comfortable bed, air-conditioning works, clean bathroom. Literally just around the corner from all the action. Turn left to get to the bars, right to get to the restaurants and fast foods. Big...
