Makati City Philippines

I was driving out of town for 5hrs needed to stay in Makati overnight and was searching and asking friends and this was suggested. A small hotel located in the busy area of Makati, suitable for foreigners looking for a 24/7 nightlife. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, clubs, bars etc. room rates are lower compared to other small...

We are glad that Minipin1202 concluded that she got value for her money. We are perplexed however, that she rated us only “average” in the value category. We’d like to invite her to contact us, so that she might help us become an even better value when our “room rates are lower compared to other small hotels nearby.” We’d also...

Hotel is about a block from P Burgoes street which is the red light district in Makati. The hotel is not bad for the price. It's clean, quiet, the air con very cool. There's a restaurant on site, but I did not eat there. There are many other fast food choices very near. Avenue is a few blocks away. The...

We are slightly puzzled by Kennywayne2012’s review. Our records show that he last stayed with us in early September 2014 for one night – nearly a year ago as of this writing. Our records also show that he tentatively booked rooms several times with us, twice in February of this year, but did not show up for his reservations. Our...

The room I stayed in (executive suite) was very spacious and clean. Very reasonable rates for room and location. Although Breakfast not included (hence cheaper rates), breakfast at the hotel was not only very reasonable but very good. Location was good. Not too close to the maddening crowds and traffic but close enough to walk to the Burgos area where...

Coming at this hotel for 15 years it must have been ok - rooms around 700p at the time. Yes, for the price paid, it's limited what expectation you can have. However, the last few years the hotel have seen considerable renovations in especially front desk area and they now have a restuarant. The rooms are still very small budget...

hoteldurban, General Manager at Hotel Durban, responded to this review

Fifteen years ago, when Jimmy C first visited us, Hotel Durban wasn't even a hotel; we were a small inn that catered to backpackers and travelers on a tight budget. Makati was also a very different place at that time: there were fewer hotels, fewer choices, and generally more downscale that it is today. The reviewer is absolutely right in...

hoteldurban, General Manager at Hotel Durban, responded to this review

Simon m’s review is a cautionary tale about keeping expectations realistic. When guests advise our desk of an early hotel arrival we try to offer them a complimentary early check-in because, as travellers ourselves, we understand that one may just want to rest after a day on the road. The reviewer’s original correspondence with the hotel indicates he stated his...

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spotless and fresh clean towels provided daily. Convenient to laundry next door and close proximity to restaurants and shops. Cabs are readily available and jeepneys are close by to transport to the rail system for 8 PHP.

“My tip is that the manager smiles more and help assist when standing at entrance instead of just having his head down in his phone. Not a guest friendly man/ manager. So my tip is get a new manager so when I stay there every year I see the same friendly staff instead of hearing they quit cause of management.”
