this is apartments. after crossing a courtyard in a stormy rainy evening, a prison like hallway lead me to the apartment, following two stuff members who were sent in advance, obviously to check it. the small apartment was ok, but with the bathroom i got the typical problems - no hot water, toilet not flushing. of course, there was no... We have been welcomed at 2am by an armed security guard, pistol in hand looking drunk. The reception is dirty and the night manager is not respecting his guests, he doesn't care. We had NO water, no showers. We found aunts in my son's bed. I strongly recommend not booking that awful place. Our worst experience!

We booked an overnight stay here because it was near Shangri-la Mactan, where the IronMan activities were. We found this hotel through one of the discount booking sites, which we regularly use to book hotels on trips. It was ominous that none of my Cebu-based friends knew where this was; more so when even the cab drivers didn't know where... More

My husband and I stayed here (may 2011) for his first visit in Cebu. We choose this hotel Coz walking distance to my house. That's a good thing. Their room is good but needs to be updated . I'm not sure if they have updated it Coz it was 3 yrs ago. Bathroom is good size. Walking distance from marina... More

This hotel should not be called a hotel! It is falsely advertised in last minute/discount accommodation sites. The photo pictured is actually from the personal sites of the resident prostitutes for starters. There is no free WiFi (as advertised), no complimentary water bottles nor a kettle to boil water! No tea or coffee or minibar as advertised. There is no... More

Yes at first glance the neighborhood isn't main road or on a resort, it's on a small road full of kalinderia and Sari Sari stores but the people are friendly and it's easy to get tricycles and taxis. For me the area is good, very close to the airport and so handy for shops. At night it's probably risky walking... More

I stayed in the Lancaster for a month in early 2013. I consider it more of a apartment block than a hotel though. However, maybe i was in an area that was not serviced like hotel rooms, as I was renting on a monthly basis. I never used the pool as I was told I had to pay for each... More

After reading some of the bad comments about Lancaster Cebu, I feel obliged to make a few corrections. Myself I'm living in Lancaster in the meantime for almost 5 years. That's why I guess I can give a good comment about this hotel. When some people write they had to pay for the swimming pool, then they were not guests... More

not sure how this place can be called a hotel. I dare say only a couple of those "professional" photos are taken here. There is no dining room. The pool is basically in the middle of a car park. the hotel is actually all apartment rentals. the hotel "office" is a table, chair, and computer near the "bar". The shower... More

Old room that even had the gas cut off for the stoves for safety reasons. Potable water? Told to boil the tap water. Corridors not lit and most rooms were in a state of ill repair and should have been condemned. Very insecure and eerie feeling. Paying for the use of the pool? Seriously? There is no sign on the... “There is a Nuat Thai Massage Parlor at the Mactan Tropics Center along the main road (about 400 meters from the hotel) that charges Php 150 per hour for a dry body or a foot massage. An SM Savemore is also located near it where you can buy groceries or food that you can cook at the hotel, a Chow King Restaurant if you want to eat out, and a Pasalubong Store? (expensive). Buy sufficient mineral water before checking-in as there are no cheap water refilling/selling stations nearby. They sell water at the hotel for P40 for a small 350 ml bottle.”
