Detailed Reviews
I knew as soon as I spoke to Grace Bates for 30 seconds I wanted to stay at her Annie’s Guest House loft apartment at 444 Main Street in Aurora, NY. She was warm and friendly on our 1st conversation so how could her home be anything but that ,I thought, and I was so right. The fridge was packed with yummy treats like the best granola ever plus all that we could possibly want for breakfast for our stay. Grace knew that this was a wedding anniversary stay for us so she even baked us a batch of the best chocolate brownies ever. The 2 bedroom apt was all ours and was cozy and quiet and overlooked the lake all at a price that was so much less than the properties around. What was best is that we had Grace’s advice on restaurants and attractions in the area. It was like staying with a favorite Aunt without the intrusion. We loved our stay and would recommend it highly.

Annie's guest house is an amazing house on the lake in the quaint little lake town of Aroura.
Fargos Pub is one block down the street and a must go to place. Atmosphere plus and good food to boot.
The house is neat, clean, bright, spacious and even has a grand piano for the talented. I'm sorry I couldn't take advantage of this luxury.
We were there a year ago and booked it again for three days over New Years 2014.
There's another room upstairs so we have invited friends to join us. We will be celebrating the New Year at Fargos pub with Dick (the old cop) , Boots, (the king of Hot sauce) and the other friendly natives.

What a beautiful home! We rented the whole house for the 6 of us, which included my two kids 5 & 8. The grandparents had the master bedroom downstairs, what a gorgeous room! Very large, bright and airy with a king bed and full bath. The main floor also has an open floor plan w/kitchen, dining table, living room and grand piano. The entire home is immaculate! Upstairs we slept in a very large queen sized bedroom that had a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. The other bedroom had a full size bed and it was very cute and comfy for my 5 yr. old daughter. The bathroom had a clawfoot tub w/a handheld shower and was very large and bright. A regular shower would be much more convenient...but you can't beat this tub for a long soak! My son slept downstairs on a single fold up bed that they have for extra guests. The living room and the upstairs bedroom both have tv's and the whole house has wifi and plenty of convenient outlets. The house is fully stocked if you want to cook and the owner, Grace makes sure that you have a nice continental breakfast each morning. She stocked the fridge with yogurt and milk for tea & coffee - Kcups and ground, as well as having muffins delivered each day ...my kids loved the idea of having breakfast delivered! Both days came a knock on the door and we had warm muffins...cranberry one day and blueberry the next, yummy and homemade! The house is stocked with brochures about the area and plenty of books and some games to keep the kids busy...I would have loved to stay longer than a weekend..it was so comfy. Aurora is a great home base for checking out the wineries, we drove completely around Cayuga lake and hit a lot of them. Mackenzie-Childs is right up the street, a beautiful housewares company full of original pieces..we didn't get a chance to take the tour, next time we will! Definately would stay at Annie's Guest House again...it was great!!

Annie's Guest House is so sweet. You can rent one floor or the whole house.
It has been beautifully renovated and is sparkling clean. Grace, the owner, is welcoming and kind. The house is equipped with anything you would need and is quite light and airy. Grace placed vases of fresh flowers for her garden in our rooms and her muffins are yummy. The house is located downtown so the shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. Perfect location for touring local wineries or just a relaxing weekend in beautiful Aurora.

I just recently had my second stay at Annie's House. Grace (the owner) is fabulous - she is so friendly. She makes AMAZING homemade muffins each morning and personally delivers them to the house. The house is clean and welcoming.
My friends and I rent the whole place out for a reunion weekend and we love being able to gather around the dining table to chat or hang out in the living room. The location is convenient to the shops in Aurora. I would highly recommend staying here...you can't go wrong!

I have been a regular visiter to Aurora, since my son, was a freshman at Wells College. Annie's Guest House is by far the most convenient place to stay. House itself is wonderful, clean and welcoming. Our Hostess is gracious and responsive.

I have been visiting Aurora since I graduated from Wells College in 1979. I have stayed at many rentals and hotel rooms over the years.
I cannot say enough great things about Annie's Guest House!!
This was my first visit to Annie's and it won't be my last. It is charming and immaculate! The king bed downstairs is super comfortable. The muffins, fruit and coffee in the morning is a sweet and tasty touch.
Annie's is lovely and unpretentious..... I highly recommend booking a stay there!

We stayed at Annie's guest house this past week. It really was wonderful. My wife and I had the first floor of the house and found it to be so spacious and immaculate. Every thing is so well done and Grace even had fresh flowers for us. What really makes the stay so wonderful is the person running this show. Grace is genuine and kind and she was such a pleasure to meet. This was her mom's home and she lovingly cares for it as her own. Also brings wonderful muffins, fruit and granola for us to enjoy every morning. We really hated to leave here, and hope we can return some day, Thank you, Grace for sharing your mom's home.

We returned for the third time to Annie's House for our annual reunion. We love returning here. The house is still so cute. There are new carpets on the first floor...very cushy on the feet. Annie's House always feels like our home away from home. I highly recommend it.

Annie's Guest House is such a comfortable home that you can rent by floor. Our family of four rented the first floor. It's light and airy space made you feel right at home. Open floor plan, living, dining and kitchen area. Washer/Dryer. Master Bedroom with full bath. Yard has a hammock, outdoor table/chairs. Kayaks and boards available to take on the lake. Fun! Everything is walkable from Annie's Guest House. Grace is such a wonderful host. Best homemade warm muffins served each morning! Grace suggesting King Ferry Winery with live Friday night music was a hit. Highly recommend. We will be back!
