I stayed in the Hotel Victoria in January 2017. My room was large and comfortable in most ways. There was some visible need for better cleaning. This could be easily attended to. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Service at the front desk was spotty, mainly since the desk person was also tasked with getting up breakfast and other jobs....

One of those English guidebooks says, sparingly, that the Victoria Hotel is "... located in a lovely old building with large if fairly bare rooms, but no lift." And I agree. The ceilings must be more than 12 feet high, and the room is massive, with two casement windows to the street. The rooms are kept clean, but the furniture...

The hotel is located right in the city center. During out stay they had serious problems with the heating system. We tried 3 rooms before finding one where the heating system would work. In the first room we found some hair between the pillows and the walls were pretty dirty. The hotel needs some serious renovation. The staff was friendly.

Great hotel with beautiful high ceiling rooms. Exactly in Union Square, this is a great choice for those who want to be very close to the city center. The staff is very nice and helpful and the overall experience was great.

A cool old building with a great central location. It was clean. BUT... On Saturday night we got no sleep at all! The bottom floor is a nightclub that played booming, heavy bass, electronic music from midnight until 5am. All night long. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Our beds were shaking, the bathroom was vibrating, it was a nightmare!...

Nice hotel, cool old building, friendly and helpful staff, central location, big clean rooms. Why the low rating you ask? Apparently there is a discotheque on the bottom floor of this building that plays loud music, scratch that, very loud music from midnight to 4 am. My bed was shaking.

Good location in the centre of Temeswar, large rooms, a fading beauty but all is working well. Rooms are spotless. There is no elevator for the luggage though but broad stairs lead to the first floor. The staff is very helpful indeed.

Spacious rooms just 4 mins walk from the Main Street / square. The hotel needs a touch of TLC (our shower only had half a door) but is more than functional. We had an aircon unit in our room but no control (although we didn't ask reception for one). Accommodated our bicycles easily and provided a fairly average 5 euro...

The room's furniture is very simple, but ok. The bathrooms even looked newly renovated. When I arrived late in the evening, I noticed that there was a "gap" in my curtain: One of the huge vertical lamellas was missing, which made the whole curtain nearly pointless. I told the staff in the next morning but it hadn't been fixed the...

“Currently the whole central Timisoara is under reconstruction, including the street Hotel Victoria is situated. Suggest to ask for a quite back side room, as did and enjoyed the stay. The hotel does not have elevators and the height of the first floor is already big. You should consider climbing a lot of stairs during the day.”
