The place is old but kept up to standards. It is clean and appeared as safe to me. There is an ironing room which is great if you are on a biz trip. The staff is friendly and there is not much more to say abt it.

Unfortunately I have been cheated by the 4* hotel rate on booking.com. The cost during the third week of March was crazy expensive, not worth of this hotel at all. 14m2 reception/hall. Very small rooms that you don't feel they are clean, old uncomfortable beds and mini bathroom with a pvc tend to protect the shower. 2* would be too...

While this hotel is in a good, convenient location, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms severely inhibits anyone from getting much sleep. Open a window? You're guaranteed a noisy night, as the hotel faces a busy street. Cheap, two star hotel for the price of a four star one.

I was looking for comfortable hotel, not expensive and with good location. Location:First of all,i wanna say that i'm satisfied with everything. It was very easy to get to the hotel by aero-express from airport Sheremetyevo. This train leaves every half an hour and drives you up to belorusskiy railway station. There is an underground near it so you can get everywhere...

The hotel location is very convenient - near Belorusskij vokzal (with train to Scheremetyevo airport), also not so well to find - the entrance is very small. Reception staff was very helpful. What I disliked - I ordered non-smoker room, but was not sure I got it because of bad cigarette smoke smell in the room. The room was very...

Since 2006 we stayed one or two times per year in the Heliopark-Empire hotel, always in December. Great location (Belorusiya metro and now also railway to airport nearby), walking distance to all major attractions. Standard rooms are small but very confortable and one can open the windows (very important in winter when Russians overheat hotels). Breakfast is a pleasure in...

I've stayed here several times for business and while it's fine, I never look forward to coming back. PROS: *Reasonably priced by Moscow standards, but definitely not what you expect by any other standards. *Breakfast is generally included and is decent *Quiet for the most part CONS: *Rooms are VERY hot in the summer and winter. Temperature control is near...

I have to admit that when I arrived I was quite vary, even the taxi driver was not sure that it was an hotel - entrance is small, the two usual security guys first and the (small) reception on the left and restaurant (small) on the right. However, lady at the reception was helpful and the rooms were clean -...

This is a decent 3- or 4-star (I do not remember exactly) hotel located a stone throw's away from the main Moscow street, Tverskaya, and the Byelorusskiy railway station. It occupies a building renovated a few years ago; by contrast, the surrounding bulidings still await their renovation, so the view from the window may be gloomy. Rooms are spacious with...

Staying in Presnensky

Neighbourhood Profile
Presnensky
The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers along with the White House - where the Russian government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo, National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is usually packed with the events such as organ music concerts.
