This is a very clean and comfortable hostel, really close to Red Square/central Moscow. Good kitchen with plenty of communal space. Communal bathrooms very clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.

The staff at comrade went above and beyond to be helpful (including helping with booking train tickets & giving directions!) I felt at home immediately and met some amazing people! Very comfy beds and nice clean facilities. Location is within easy walking distance of main attractions and metros as well as supermarkets and restaurants.

We stayed at the comrade hostel for 5 days. We arrived at sheremetevo airport and took a cab. The hostel provides transfers from and to the airport, our recommendation is that you use this service as it saves you a lot of hassle on the first day. The hostel is situated on the top floor of an old building in...

Oh wow :) Thank you, dear Pim, for this irrefragable review. We cannot be happier knowing we contributed to your hopefully overall great experience in Moscow :) This type of heating is a common thing in Moscow. The heating is central, the temperature is regulated by the city management. It is possible to slightly regulate the amount of hot water...

Perfect location, clean and helpful staff. Just a 10 minute walk from the red square. We had a private, double room with shared bathroom. Comfy bed and warm shower, what more do you need? Place hosts about as much backpackers as it does Russians who live there.

Hello! Thank you for your kind review and rating Comrade Hostel! We are happy you enjoyed your stay :) But I cannot ignore your notion that we have "as many Russians who live" at the hostel as we have international backpackers. We have no long-termers, as we have a max stay rule, and no Russians to live in the hostel...

When you come here for the first time, it might be a bit hard to find it, but friendly stuff and welcoming atmosphere would make u want stay for longer. Clean rooms and bathrooms, spacious kitchen and proximity to all of the main attractions are just few things that make this hostel special. Also very affordable.

This is a great hostel , the staff are helpful and speak very good English. The rooms are clean and there is a nice kitchen and living room area. It is about a twenty minute walk to red square and the Kremlin or you can get the metro, there are good restaurants right next to the hostel and a supermarket....

A very good hostel in a nice location of Moscow. The location is great, the up and coming art noveu district with many bars and cafes located within seconds on the entrance. Furthermore, it is only 10-15 minutes walking to red square, and 5 minutes to Kitay Gorod metro. A fantastic location. Despite other reviews we found the staff to...

Overall, a great hostel. Excellent location, the staff is friendly and speak good english, several bathrooms and other facilities, and a cute parrot in the living room to boot! The nice Belarusian admin even went out into the cold to show me the door, and gave me a hand with my backpack going up the stairs.
